Daily Walk
2025-07-27 11:00 UTC by Corey

I walk.
Each day, usually.

For health.
For strength.
For sanity.

To clear the noise.
To welcome silence.
To hear what’s underneath.

I walk to put thoughts in line.
Or to let them scatter.
To remember. To forget.
To forgive.

It is my ritual.
My rebellion.
My prayer in motion.

Meanwhile in Normandy
2025-07-26 11:00 UTC by Corey

While I’ve been in California, surrounded by sunshine and the familiar comfort of family, Yann, Chelsea and the Pickles are off in Normandy, visiting his mother. And truly — I am happy for them. My mother held her great-grandchild, the first one she’s...

New Day
2025-07-23 11:00 UTC by Corey

Life is running alongside us begging us to take hold,
literally feeding us with all it has,
surrounding us with an invisible yet visible bountiful blanket.

How easy it is to be blinded by the beautiful abundance,
as we wake up to a new day with too many stars and grains of sand to count.

Whatever brings us joy, no matter how small, let it...

The Liturgy of Care
2025-07-22 11:00 UTC by Corey

She’s lived here always,
where generosity grows.

Her door is open—
Family and friends come,
carrying sweetness in the crook of their arms.

Fresh corn, still warm from the sun,
twice in one week from cousins who hadn’t planned it,
but somehow knew.

A bouquet left on the porch,
a jar of something homemade,
a bag full...
