Steven Williams, “Steve”, age 65. Sunrise January 5, 1959, and Sunset May 4, 2024. Born in Columbus, Ohio to James C. Williams and Clara Williams.

Steve attended Columbus City Schools. As a youth he enjoyed going to the Boys and Girls Club and playing basketball at Thompson Recreation Center. Steve liked to draw, watch game shows, play cards (spades), joke around with family and friends, listen to oldies music, dance, and he had an infinite love for Chuck Taylors.

Steve had an extensive work history, which included Jefferies Manufacturing, Buckeye Steel, Churches Chicken, Ohio State, and W.C. Brunk as a School Bus Driver. “Mr. Steve” as he was respectfully referred to, retired from DSW
Geodis, September of 2022, after 11 years of service as a Material Handler.

Steve had a passion for grilling, (famous for THOSE BBQ Ribs, Not Boiled), cutting grass, fixing on cars, singing in the Male Chorus, Gospel and Mass Choir at his church, St. Mark AME, Columbus Ohio.

Steve and Lesia were divinely united in marriage on Saturday, September 23, 2006, and together they served in ministry at Crack House Ministries (CHM) and St. Mark AME Church, Columbus Ohio. In October of 2018, they were assigned to Quinn Chapel AME Church, Marion Ohio, where they faithfully served for the last five years, eight months. He was truly a man of God. He Loved Family and touched the lives of many friends and neighbors. He never knew a stranger, and he would help anyone at the drop of a hat.

He is preceded in death by his father, James C. Williams; brothers, Clinton Williams, Joseph Williams; son, Andre Martin; nephew, Patrick O’Neil Williams; and cousin, Susan Byrd.

He is survived by his mother, Clara Williams; devoted wife of 17 years 8 months, Lesia Ann Williams; daughters, Shawntae (Alex) Appiah, Alicia Louise Bouldin, Jasmine Rose Bouldin; sons, Michael Brandon Lofton, Christopher Harrison Bouldin, Brian Kieth Bouldin, and Matthew Allen Bouldin; siblings, James (Josephine) Williams, Denise (James) Burton, Thaddeus (Sally) Williams, Cheryl Williams; granddaughters, Raeshona Willis, Kev`Ana Farr, Shiann Martin, Lamya Turner, Jouryne
Sealey, Jru Crouch, McKinley Belle Lofton; grandsons, Patrick Henry III, Taeshawn Henry, Brian Bouldin Jr., Matthias Lofton, Jordan Crouch, Jaylen Crouch; and great granddaughter, Iyionna Smith along with a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and loved ones.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:3

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, May 25, 2024 at St. Mark AME, 480 Trevitt St,.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

He lets us lie down in green pastures, He leads us beside quiet waters. He renews our life; He leads us along the right paths for His name sake. Even when we go through the darkest valley, we fear no danger; for He is with us , His rod and staff they comfort us. He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies; He anoints our head with oil; our cup overflows.
