Linklaters has targeted Mayer Brown for the hire of derivatives partner Doug Donahue, alongside counsel William Liu and associate Raha Brown, all of who join the UK firm’s New York capital markets team. Donahue joined Mayer Brown in 2016 as a partner from Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft where he was a special counsel. He previously worked in-house at Barclays in New York where he advised on hedge fund financing, derivatives and structured products.

Allen & Overy has hired intellectual property partner Jan Ebersohl from US firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan in Munich. He will join A&O in December. He regularly represents clients in patent infringement and nullity cases with a focus on the software and mobile communications sectors.
