<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As you minister to those with special needs and problems, focus not only on the circumstances being discussed, but on the spiritual source of the situation. Often, we open ourselves to Satan&#8217;s thoughts and allow ourselves to be trapped in a situation without recognizing its source. To become embroiled in solving a problem without identifying its root is to fall into Satan&#8217;s trap.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is therefore important to gather the details of a situation and then retire to the Listening Room to hear from the Spirit, who &#8220;knows the thoughts of God.&#8221; Like Paul, you too can speak words taught by the Spirit. The most important thing to discern when caring for a flock member is the strongholds that have gone unchallenged in his or her life. Until those are dealt with, problem-solving is like pouring a bucket of water on a three-alarm blaze.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Take each problem — and the person carrying it — to the throne of grace. Uncover the spiritual roots, and the results will amaze you.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">World Evangelization Crusade (WEC) is a remarkable missionary society. Rather than building a Board of Directors from wealthy businessmen, its founder, C. T. Studd, appointed furloughed missionaries in London to serve as the mission&#8217;s executive body. He was tired of men who managed those paying the price without paying it themselves.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the early days, these missionaries wrestled with difficult field problems. For example, two missionary couples serving in the same African town were in serious conflict. The board spent hours on the problem, occasionally resolving it by transferring one couple to another station — but the strife always seemed to follow.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Finally, one of the men said, &#8220;We&#8217;re going about this all wrong. Let&#8217;s retire to our Listening Rooms and get a word from the Lord.&#8221; They agreed to do so, committing to bring back to the boardroom whatever solution would bring the greatest glory to God — no matter how impossible it might seem.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When they returned and shared what the Lord had shown them, they agreed to claim His solution by faith. With joy, they discovered that God answered with outcomes that had seemed impossible. Missionaries wrote back to tell how God had crushed the seeds of resentment that had become weeds dividing them. In all the years since, WEC has followed this same procedure. Try it — you&#8217;ll be glad you did.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As you minister to your cell members, seek to discover what has been unwittingly welcomed into their lives. Not all &#8220;gifts&#8221; come from above. Most Christians have never learned to discern the sources of their thoughts and circumstances, and strongholds give Satan a foothold to wreck the lives of believers.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Quando você estiver ministrando a pessoas com necessidades e problemas, não foque sua atenção apenas nas circunstâncias que estão sendo discutidas, mas também na fonte espiritual da situação em questão. Por vezes nos abrimos aos pensamentos de Satanás e com isso acabamos por permanecermos presos à situação, sem reconhecermos a fonte do problema. Ao ficarmos presos na solução do problema sem reconhecer suas raízes, acabamos por cair na armadilha de Satanás.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Portanto é importante conhecer os detalhes da situação e então se retirar para o “Quarto de Ouvir” para ouvir do Espírito Santo que “conhece os pensamentos de Deus”. Assim como Paulo, você também pode falar palavras ensinadas pelo Espírito Santo. A coisa mais importante a discernir quando estiver cuidando de uma ovelha do rebanho são as fortalezas que não foram confrontadas na vida desta pessoa. Até que estas fortalezas sejam tratadas, tentar resolver o problema vai ser como jogar um balde de água em um grande incêndio.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Leve cada problema, bem como a pessoa que o carrega, ao trono da Graça. Exponha as raízes espirituais e os resultados te surpreenderão.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A World Evangelization Crusade (WEC) [Cruzada Mundial de Evangelização em tradução livre] , é uma associação missionária memorável. Eles concordaram e comprometeram-se a voltar para a reunião de Diretoria com a solução que trouxesse maior glória para Deus, não importando o quão impossível ela parecesse.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Quando voltaram e compartilharam o que o Senhor os havia mostrado, eles concordaram em aplicar a Sua solução pela fé. Com alegria eles perceberam que Deus os havia respondido com resultados que pareciam impossíveis. Os missionários responderam por carta que Deus havia destruído as raízes de ressentimento que haviam brotado para dividi-los. Nos anos seguintes, a WEC tem seguido o mesmo procedimento. Tente você também: você vai ficar feliz por ter feito isso.&nbsp;</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Quando você estiver ministrando aos membros da célula, procure descobrir o que tem sido permitido em suas vidas sem que percebam. Nem todos os “presentes” vêm do alto. A maioria dos cristãos nunca aprenderam a discernir a fonte de seus pensamentos e circunstâncias. As fortalezas permitem que Satanás “ponha o pé na porta” e destrua a vida dos crentes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Al ministrar a quienes tienen necesidades y problemas especiales, concéntrese no solo en las circunstancias que se discuten, sino también en la raíz espiritual de la situación. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Al ministrar a los miembros de tu célula, procura descubrir qué han sido recibidos involuntariamente en sus vidas. No todos los &#8220;dones&#8221; vienen de lo alto. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">While a cell group has a formal weekly gathering, its life is really embedded in the daily relationships and mutual sharing of lives. For that reason, its size simply must not exceed fifteen persons — but that&#8217;s not the critical factor. More important is participation. There must be adequate involvement of all the members in the life of the group. When the community grows larger than fifteen, this becomes difficult.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I remember one young mother, pregnant with her second child, who was also a &#8220;husband batterer.&#8221; When she would fly into fits of rage, her husband would try to defend himself from her fists and scratching nails, frying pans, or whatever was nearby that could be thrown. He had lived with this for four years, meekly trying to appease her and keep her anger from erupting. Six months prior, the couple had linked themselves to a cell group, though no one yet knew the storm that was coming.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then, at the bank where he worked, a lonely divorcee encouraged him to take her out to lunch. Her warmth, loneliness, and gentle behavior captivated him. Before he knew what had happened, he was embroiled in an affair. When his wife found out, she went berserk. Thus, a few days before the birth of their second child, he moved into an apartment.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When the affair was discovered at the bank, both he and the woman were fired. The situation became increasingly miserable. He spent time with his wife at the hospital, helped her bring the baby home, and returned to his empty apartment.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The other young couples in the cell group had struggled with what to do about this situation for many weeks. They had privately counseled both the wife and the husband and fervently prayed for Christ to restore the home. Finally, on a Friday night, all the children in the group were farmed out to relatives and friends for the weekend. As the wives arrived at the young mother&#8217;s house, their husbands knocked on the door of the apartment where the husband was living. They drove him back to the family home, pulled sleeping bags out of their car trunks, and announced, &#8220;We are here for an indefinite period of time. Our Lord does not want your lives to be destroyed like this. We are going to talk, to pray, to do whatever we have to do — and we are not going to leave until you two get your lives straightened out and establish a decent home for these babies!&#8221;</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By Sunday morning, the exhausted group had broken through. For the first time in her life, the wife had faced the strongholds in her life and had been set free from their power. With guidance from their group, they had remembered their first love for one another and why they had married. Christ was enthroned in their lives, and they were ready to grow in grace!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A célula tem uma reunião formal semanal, mas sua vida está, na realidade, misturada nos relacionamentos diários e no compartilhar das vidas. É por esta razão que seu número não deve exceder a quinze pessoas, apesar de este não ser um fator crítico. A participação é um fator mais importante. É necessário que haja envolvimento por parte de todos os membros na vida do grupo. Isto é algo difícil de acontecer quando o número do grupo é maior do que quinze pessoas.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lembro do caso de uma jovem mãe, ainda grávida de seu segundo filho, que era também uma agressora de seu marido. Quando entrava em uma de suas crises de fúria, seu marido era forçado a se defender de seus socos, suas unhas, frigideiras e seja lá o que for que estivesse próximo a ela e pudesse ser arremessado contra ele. Ele vivera desta maneira por quatro anos, humildemente tentando evitar que a fúria de sua esposa entrasse em erupção. Seis meses antes do fato que passarei a narrar, o casal havia se agregado a uma célula, apesar de ninguém saber ainda sobre a tempestade que aconteceria a seguir.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Foi então que uma jovem mulher divorciada e solitária, sua colega de trabalho no banco onde trabalhava, o encorajou a convidá-la para um almoço. A solidão, atenção e gentileza daquela mulher o cativaram. Antes que percebesse o que havia acontecido, ele já estava envolvido em um caso amoroso. Sua esposa surtou quando descobriu o que acontecera. Poucos dias antes do nascimento do segundo filho, ele se mudou para um outro apartamento.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Quando o relacionamento amoroso foi descoberto no banco, tanto ele quando a outra mulher foram demitidos. A situação se tornou absolutamente miserável. Ele passou algum tempo com sua esposa no hospital, ajudou-a a trazer o bebê para casa e retornou para seu novo apartamento vazio.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Os outros jovens casais da célula se debateram por muitas semanas sobre o que fazer naquela situação. Eles haviam aconselhado separadamente tanto a esposa quanto o marido e haviam orado fervorosamente para que Cristo restaurasse aquela família. Finalmente, em uma determinada noite de sexta-feira alguns parentes e amigos ficaram com as crianças durante um final de semana. As esposas da célula foram até a casa onde a mãe estava e seus maridos foram até o apartamento onde o marido estava morando. Eles o levaram de volta para sua casa e lá chegando tiraram sacos de dormir de seus carros, anunciando a seguir: “Estamos aqui sem data para irmos embora. Nosso Senhor não quer que suas vidas sejam destruídas assim. Vamos conversar, orar ou fazer o que tivermos que fazer. Não iremos embora até que vocês dois consertem suas vidas e estabeleçam um lar apropriado para seus bebês!”</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Na manhã do domingo, aquele grupo, já exausto, conseguiu romper a situação. Pela primeira vez em sua vida, a esposa encarou as potestades em sua vida e foi liberta de seu cativeiro. Com a orientação das pessoas da célula, eles lembraram de seu primeiro amor e do motivo pelo qual decidiram se casa. Cristo foi entronizado em suas vidas e eles estavam prontos para crescer na Graça!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Si bien un grupo celular tiene una reunión semanal formal, su vida se basa en las relaciones cotidianas y el intercambio mutuo de experiencias. Por ello, su tamaño no debe superar las quince personas, pero ese no es el factor crucial. Lo más importante es la participación. Debe haber una participación adecuada de todos los miembros en la vida del grupo. Cuando la comunidad supera las quince personas, esto se vuelve difícil.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Recuerdo a una joven madre, embarazada de su segundo hijo, que también maltrataba a su marido. Cuando estallaba en cólera, su esposo intentaba defenderse de sus puños, sus uñas afiladas, sartenes o cualquier cosa que tuviera a mano para lanzar. Había soportado esto durante cuatro años, intentando con resignación calmarla y evitar que su ira estallara. Seis meses antes, la pareja se había unido a un grupo de apoyo, aunque nadie imaginaba aún la tormenta que se avecinaba.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Luego, en el banco donde trabajaba, una mujer divorciada y solitaria lo invitó a almorzar. Su calidez, soledad y dulzura lo cautivaron. Sin darse cuenta, se vio envuelto en una aventura amorosa. Cuando su esposa se enteró, se enfureció. Así, pocos días antes del nacimiento de su segundo hijo, se mudó a un apartamento.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cuando se descubrió la infidelidad en el banco, tanto él como la mujer fueron despedidos. La situación se volvió cada vez más insostenible. Pasó tiempo con su esposa en el hospital, la ayudó a llevar al bebé a casa y regresó a su apartamento vacío.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Las demás parejas jóvenes del grupo habían estado lidiando con la situación durante muchas semanas. Habían aconsejado en privado tanto a la esposa como al esposo y orado fervientemente para que Cristo restaurara el hogar. Finalmente, un viernes por la noche, todos los niños del grupo fueron enviados al cuidado de familiares y amigos durante el fin de semana. Cuando las esposas llegaron a la casa de la joven madre, sus esposos llamaron a la puerta del apartamento donde vivía el esposo. Nuestro Señor no quiere que sus vidas se arruinen así. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Para el domingo por la mañana, el grupo, exhausto, había logrado un gran avance. Por primera vez en su vida, la esposa había enfrentado las ataduras que la oprimían y se había liberado de su poder. Guiados por el grupo, recordaron el amor que se tenían desde el principio y el motivo de su matrimonio. Cristo reinaba en sus vidas, ¡y estaban listos para crecer en la gracia!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, &#8220;Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?&#8221; &#8220;Yes, Lord,&#8221; he said, &#8220;you know that I love you.&#8221; Jesus said, &#8220;Feed my lambs.&#8221; Again Jesus said, &#8220;Simon son of John, do you truly love me?&#8221; He answered, &#8220;Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.&#8221; Jesus said, &#8220;Take care of my sheep.&#8221; The third time he said to him, &#8220;Simon son of John, do you love me?&#8221; Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, &#8220;Do you love me?&#8221; He said, &#8220;Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.&#8221; Jesus said, &#8220;Feed my sheep.&#8221;</em> — John 21:15-17</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jesus here describes the flock as having lambs and sheep. There is a difference in maturity between those in the flock, and the shepherd recognizes this. The flock is made up of highly individual persons. They cannot be treated as a single entity. Each one has special needs and special capacities.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is also clear that Jesus was not interested in how much wool or meat He could get from His flock, but rather in their needs and how to serve them. Your reward for your ministry should be Christ&#8217;s &#8220;well done!&#8221; That&#8217;s enough.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Some Christian groups look for &#8220;task-oriented&#8221; personalities, who are then enlisted because they have a particular skill or ability to fill a particular need of the ministry. Thus, more attention is given to finding the &#8220;talented&#8221; than to others. That should not be true among God&#8217;s people. Without exception, every single Christian is gifted by the Holy Spirit and is expected to exercise spiritual gifts. There is no &#8220;hierarchy&#8221; among God&#8217;s people. As we will see, this includes the children in your group.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Satan will strain your understanding of that to the limit. From time to time, your flock will include people who have severely damaged personalities. In most cases, they are passed along unhealed, &#8220;unloaded&#8221; from one group to another. As a shepherd, you will pray over these troubled persons, asking God to enable you to help them become more than they now are. This may require special time with them, or perhaps a loving confrontation about their conduct. We shy away from such people . . to their detriment.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nurturing the flock will bring you closer to your Lord than you have ever been before! You will learn to avoid the human tendency to be attracted to the &#8220;lovely people&#8221; and to be condescending to the rest. You will see each person as unique, deeply loved by Christ, with special capacities to minister His life to the redeemed and to the lost alike.</p>

<br>Aqui, Jesus descreve o rebanho como sendo composto por cordeiros e ovelhas. Existe uma diferença de maturidade entre os membros do rebanho, e o pastor reconhece isso. O rebanho é formado por pessoas com individualidades marcantes. Elas não podem ser tratadas como uma entidade única. Cada uma tem necessidades e capacidades específicas.

<br>Também fica claro que Jesus não estava interessado em quanta lã ou carne poderia obter de Seu rebanho, mas sim nas necessidades deles e em como servi-los. Sua recompensa pelo ministério deve ser o &#8220;muito bem!&#8221; de Cristo. Isso basta.

<br>Alguns grupos cristãos buscam personalidades &#8220;orientadas para tarefas&#8221;, que são então recrutadas por possuírem uma habilidade ou capacidade específica para suprir uma necessidade particular do ministério. Assim, dá-se mais atenção aos &#8220;talentosos&#8221; do que aos outros. Isso não deveria acontecer entre o povo de Deus. Sem exceção, todo cristão recebe dons do Espírito Santo e espera-se que exerça esses dons espirituais. Não existe &#8220;hierarquia&#8221; entre o povo de Deus. Como veremos, isso inclui as crianças do seu grupo. Satanás levará sua compreensão a esse respeito ao limite. De tempos em tempos, seu rebanho incluirá pessoas com personalidades profundamente feridas. Na maioria dos casos, elas são repassadas sem terem sido curadas, sendo &#8220;despejadas&#8221; de um grupo para outro. Como pastor, você orará por essas pessoas atribuladas, pedindo a Deus que o capacite a ajudá-las a se tornarem mais do que são atualmente. Isso pode exigir dedicar um tempo especial a elas ou, talvez, um confronto amoroso a respeito de sua conduta. Nós tendemos a evitar pessoas assim&#8230; para o prejuízo delas.

<br>Cuidar do rebanho o aproximará do seu Senhor como nunca antes! Você aprenderá a evitar a tendência humana de se sentir atraído pelas &#8220;pessoas agradáveis&#8221; e de tratar o restante com condescendência. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Aquí Jesús describe el rebaño como compuesto por corderos y ovejas. Existe una diferencia de madurez entre los miembros del rebaño, y el pastor lo reconoce. El rebaño está formado por individuos muy diversos. No pueden ser tratados como una sola entidad, cada uno tiene necesidades y capacidades particulares.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">También es evidente que a Jesús no le interesaba cuánta lana o carne podía obtener de su rebaño, sino más bien sus necesidades y cómo servirles. Tu recompensa por tu ministerio debería ser el &#8220;¡Bien hecho!&#8221; de Cristo. Eso es suficiente.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Algunos grupos cristianos buscan personas orientadas a las tareas, a quienes reclutan por tener una habilidad o capacidad específica para cubrir una necesidad concreta del ministerio. De esta manera, se prioriza la búsqueda de personas con talento sobre las demás. Esto no debería ser así entre el pueblo de Dios. Sin excepción, cada cristiano recibe dones del Espíritu Santo y se espera que los ejerza. No existe jerarquía entre el pueblo de Dios. Como veremos, esto incluye a los niños de su grupo.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Satanás pondrá a prueba tu comprensión de esto hasta el límite. De vez en cuando, tu rebaño incluirá personas con personalidades muy dañadas. En la mayoría de los casos, pasan de un grupo a otro sin sanar, como si fueran &#8220;descargadas&#8221;. Aprenderás a evitar la tendencia humana a sentirte atraído por las personas &#8220;encantadoras&#8221; y a ser condescendiente con los demás. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a cell leader, two important roles come together: the facilitator and the pastor. These are different and distinct roles, yet they are combined in the same person who leads a cell. Let us look at this in detail: as a facilitator, the leader focuses on the meeting&#8217;s dynamics. He may teach the lesson, but he is not the only one who can. Rather, he encourages others to do it as well. In addition, he listens, connects people with one another, and creates an environment in which the group is built up. His concern as a facilitator is: How do I help everyone get involved?</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a pastor, however, he focuses on people beyond the meeting. He knows their names, their struggles, and their stages of life. He accompanies them, prays for them, follows up with those who were absent, and guides those in need. His concern as a pastor is: How is each sheep doing?</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Both roles come together naturally. When he facilitates well, people open up and show him where they are, giving him the material he needs to pastor them during the week. And because he pastors and knows his people, he facilitates better: he knows whom to encourage, whom to challenge, and when the group needs more prayer than discussion.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">All the above can be summarized as follows: in the meeting, the facilitator predominates; outside the meeting, the pastor does. And both point to the same goal: making disciples, forming others so that they, in turn, may also facilitate and care for others. The mature leader does so without any apparent contradiction.</p>

<br>No líder de célula, dois papéis importantes se unem: o de facilitador e o de pastor. São papéis diferentes e distintos, mas que se combinam na mesma pessoa que lidera uma célula. Vamos analisar isso detalhadamente: como facilitador, o líder concentra-se na dinâmica da reunião. Ele pode ministrar a lição, mas não é o único que pode fazê-lo; pelo contrário, ele incentiva outros a também participarem. Além disso, ele ouve, conecta as pessoas umas às outras e cria um ambiente que promove a edificação do grupo. Sua preocupação como facilitador é: &#8220;Como posso ajudar a todos a se envolverem?&#8221;

<br>Como pastor, porém, ele se concentra nas pessoas para além da reunião. Ele conhece seus nomes, suas lutas e suas fases de vida. Ele as acompanha, ora por elas, mantém contato com os ausentes e orienta aqueles que precisam de ajuda. Sua preocupação como pastor é: &#8220;Como está cada ovelha?&#8221;

<br>Ambos os papéis se unem naturalmente. Quando ele facilita bem, as pessoas se abrem e mostram em que ponto estão, fornecendo-lhe o material necessário para pastoreá-las durante a semana. E, por pastorear e conhecer seu povo, ele facilita melhor: sabe a quem incentivar, a quem desafiar e quando o grupo precisa mais de oração do que de discussão.

<br>Tudo isso pode ser resumido da seguinte forma: na reunião, predomina o facilitador; fora dela, o pastor. E ambos apontam para o mesmo objetivo: fazer discípulos, formar outras pessoas para que elas, por sua vez, também possam facilitar e cuidar de outros. O líder maduro faz isso sem qualquer contradição aparente.</p>

Estos son roles diferentes y separados, pero que se combinan en la misma persona que lidera una célula. Veamoslo en detalle: como facilitador el líder se enfoca en la dinámica de la reunión. Puede impartir la enseñanza, pero él no es la única persona que lo puede ser. Mas bien, anima a que los otros lo hagan. Pero además, escucha, conecta a las personas entre sí y crea un ambiente donde el grupo sea edificado. Su preocupación como facilitador es: ¿cómo ayudo a que todos se involucren?</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Como <strong>pastor</strong>, en cambio, se enfoca en las personas más allá de la reunión. Conoce sus nombres, sus luchas y sus etapas de vida. Acompaña, ora, da seguimiento al que faltó y orienta al necesitado. Su preocupación como pastor es: ¿cómo está cada oveja?</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ambos roles se conjugan de forma natural. Cuando facilita bien, las personas se abren y le muestran dónde están; eso le da el material para pastorear durante la semana. Y porque pastorea y conoce a su gente, facilita mejor: sabe a quién animar, a quién desafiar y cuándo el grupo necesita más oración que discusión.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Todo lo anterior se puede resumir de la siguiente manera: en la reunión predomina el facilitador; fuera de ella, el pastor. Y ambos apuntan a lo mismo: discipular, formando a otros para que, a su vez, también faciliten y cuiden. El líder maduro hace las dos cosas sin que se note contradicción.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I meet with leaders all the time who are stuck in the weeds. By this, I mean they are doing it all! As leaders, we often facilitate the agenda, communicate with the group, host the meeting, and bring refreshments. By the time the meeting is over, our hearts may be full, but our bodies are exhausted. This can lead us to think, &#8220;I can&#8217;t keep this up!&#8221;</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What do we do to overcome this? How can we do this? Won&#8217;t this add stress to our lives? Isn&#8217;t it easier to do it ourselves? The real question should be, &#8220;What did God call me to do?&#8221; As cell leaders, we are NOT meant to do all of the things — we are to &#8220;equip the saints for the work of the ministry&#8221; (Ephesians 4:12, ESV). Yikes! I don&#8217;t know about you, but this hits me hard. If I am not empowering the cell members, then I am not doing what Jesus called me to do.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So how can we do this? Here are a few steps that may help you to be the best version of the leader, pastor, and shepherd that God made you to be:</p>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Own the Silence:</strong> When you ask for volunteers (like, &#8220;Who wants to bring the snack next week?&#8221;), just be comfortable with the quiet that follows. That pause is often what encourages someone to step up!</li>
<li><strong>Try a Ministry Sign-Up Sheet:</strong> People often feel more compelled to fill in a blank slot on a sign-up sheet, making assignments feel less forced or awkward.</li>
<li><strong>Ask People Directly (But Gently):</strong> Instead of asking the whole group, try asking individuals privately — either before or after the meeting — to take on a specific role for the next gathering. This one-on-one approach works better and doesn&#8217;t put people on the spot.</li>
</ul>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ultimately, remember that you aren&#8217;t leading alone. By creating space for others to serve, you aren&#8217;t just lightening your own load — you are inviting them into the joy of ministry. Let go of the need to do it all, embrace the role of a shepherd, and watch as your cell group grows into a team that truly flourishes together.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Finally, prioritize gathering with other leaders. While your cell group provides vital community, affection, and encouragement, connecting with fellow cell leaders serves as a powerful reminder that you are not walking this path in isolation. We are all in this together!!</p>

<br>Encontro-me frequentemente com líderes que estão atolados em tarefas operacionais. Com isso, quero dizer que eles fazem tudo! Como líderes, muitas vezes organizamos a pauta, comunicamos o grupo, conduzimos a reunião e providenciamos o lanche. Quando a reunião termina, nossos corações podem estar cheios, mas nossos corpos estão exaustos. Isso pode nos levar a pensar: &#8220;Não consigo continuar assim!&#8221;

<br>O que fazemos para superar isso? Como podemos fazer isso? Isso não vai aumentar o estresse em nossas vidas? Não é mais fácil fazer nós mesmos? A verdadeira pergunta deveria ser: &#8220;Para que Deus me chamou?&#8221; Como líderes de célula, NÃO devemos fazer todas as coisas — devemos &#8220;capacitar os santos para a obra do ministério&#8221; (Efésios 4:12). Uau! Não sei quanto a você, mas isso me impacta profundamente. Se não estou capacitando os membros da célula, então não estou fazendo o que Jesus me chamou para fazer.

<br>Então, como podemos fazer isso? Aqui estão alguns passos que podem ajudá-lo a ser a melhor versão do líder, pastor e pastor de ovelhas que Deus criou você para ser:</p>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Acolha o Silêncio</strong>: Quando pedir voluntários (como: &#8220;Quem quer trazer o lanche na próxima semana?&#8221;), sinta-se confortável com o silêncio que se segue. Essa pausa é, muitas vezes, o que encoraja alguém a se voluntariar!</li>

<li><strong>Convide as Pessoas Diretamente (Mas com Gentileza)</strong>: Em vez de perguntar ao grupo todo, tente convidar indivíduos em particular — antes ou depois da reunião — para assumir uma função específica no próximo encontro. Essa abordagem individual funciona melhor e não coloca as pessoas em uma situação de pressão pública.</li>
</ul>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Por fim, lembre-se de que você não está liderando sozinho. Ao abrir espaço para que outros sirvam, você não está apenas aliviando sua própria carga — está convidando-os a experimentar a alegria do ministério. Abandone a necessidade de fazer tudo sozinho, assuma o papel de pastor e veja seu grupo de célula transformar-se em uma equipe que realmente prospera unida.

<br>Por fim, priorize o encontro com outros líderes. Embora o seu grupo de célula ofereça uma comunidade essencial, afeto e encorajamento, conectar-se com outros líderes de célula serve como um lembrete poderoso de que você não está percorrendo esse caminho isoladamente. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Me reúno constantemente con líderes que están completamente desbordados. ¡Me refiero a que lo hacen todo! Como líderes, solemos facilitar la agenda, comunicarnos con el grupo, organizar la reunión y ofrecer refrigerios. Al finalizar la reunión, aunque nos sentimos satisfechos, nuestros cuerpos están agotados. Esto puede llevarnos a pensar: &#8220;¡No puedo seguir así!&#8221;.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">¿Qué hacemos para superar esto? ¿Cómo podemos hacerlo? ¿No nos generará esto estrés? ¿No es más fácil hacerlo nosotros mismos? La verdadera pregunta debería ser: &#8220;¿A qué me llamó Dios?&#8221;. Como líderes de células, no estamos llamados a hacerlo todo; debemos &#8220;capacitar a los santos para la obra del ministerio&#8221; (Efesios 4:12). ¡Vaya! No sé ustedes, pero esto me impacta profundamente. Si no estoy capacitando a los miembros de la célula, entonces no estoy cumpliendo con mi propósito.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Finalmente, prioriza reunirte con otros líderes. Si bien tu grupo celular te brinda una comunidad, afecto y aliento vitales, conectar con otros líderes de grupo es un poderoso recordatorio de que no estás solo en este camino. ¡Estamos todos juntos en esto!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What does it mean to lead a cell group? Jesus gives us a compelling picture — and it begins with the shepherd.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Every Sheep is Different</strong></p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jesus describes his flock as having both lambs and sheep — different levels of maturity, different needs, different capacities. This means you cannot treat your group as a single entity to be managed uniformly. Each person sitting in that circle carries a unique story, unique struggles, and unique gifts. Effective cell leadership begins with seeing people that way.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Service, Not Status</strong></p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Resist the temptation to recruit people for what they can <em>do</em> for the group rather than what the group can <em>do</em> for them. Jesus was not interested in how much wool or meat he could get from his flock — he cared about their needs and what could be done to serve them. Your reward for your ministry should be Christ&#8217;s &#8220;well done!&#8221; That&#8217;s enough.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Every Member is Gifted</strong></p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here is one of the most liberating truths in cell ministry: without exception, every Christian has been gifted by the Holy Spirit and is expected to exercise spiritual gifts. There is no hierarchy among God&#8217;s people — and that includes the children in your group. Some ministries look for &#8220;task-oriented&#8221; personalities with particular skills to fill particular needs. More attention goes to finding the &#8220;talented&#8221; than to others. That should not be true among God&#8217;s people.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Difficult Ones</strong></p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Satan will strain your understanding of that to the limit. From time to time, your flock will include people with severely damaged personalities. In most cases, they are passed along unhelped — &#8220;unloaded&#8221; by one group to another. As a shepherd, you will pray over these people, asking God to enable you to help them become more than they now are. This may require special time with them, or perhaps a loving confrontation about their conduct. We shy away from such people — to their detriment.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Closer to Christ Through Nurturing</strong></p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nurturing your flock will bring you closer to your Lord than you have ever been before. You will learn to avoid the human tendency to be attracted to the &#8220;lovely people&#8221; and be condescending to the rest. You will begin to see each person as unique, deeply loved by Christ, with special capacities to minister his life to the redeemed and to the lost alike.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That is the heart of your calling as a cell leader.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cada Ovelha é Diferente</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jesus descreve seu rebanho como composto por cordeiros e ovelhas — pessoas em diferentes níveis de maturidade, com necessidades e capacidades distintas. Isso significa que você não pode tratar seu grupo como uma única unidade administrada de forma igual para todos. Cada pessoa sentada naquele círculo tem uma história única, lutas próprias e dons especiais. Uma liderança celular eficaz começa enxergando cada pessoa dessa maneira.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Serviço, Não Status</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mais Perto de Cristo ao Cuidar das Pessoas</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ao cuidar do seu rebanho, você se aproximará do Senhor de uma maneira que talvez nunca tenha experimentado antes. Aprenderá a vencer a tendência humana de dar preferência às pessoas mais agradáveis e tratar as demais com menos atenção. Começará a enxergar cada pessoa como única, profundamente amada por Cristo e capacitada por Deus para ministrar vida tanto aos salvos quanto aos perdidos.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Esse é o verdadeiro coração do seu chamado como líder de célula.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I have often thought that if I could go back nearly thirty years, to when we first started with the cell church ministry paradigm, I would avoid using the term “group leader.” Too many people disqualified themselves from serving in the role by saying, “I am not the leader type.” They held a specific image of a leader and were convinced they were not one. Perhaps they saw a leader as someone with a bold, extroverted personality who naturally attracted followers and told them what to do.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However, that image does not describe the role or traits of a group leader. The most prominent traits of an effective group leader are love and prayer. Those who show love to their members and pray for them diligently are far more effective at multiplying groups than the stereotypical “leader” personality.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And because effective leaders love their group members, they care for their spiritual and personal well-being. They intercede on behalf of the member’s needs and development. In biblical terms, that means they “pastor” their members. They do not need to function as teachers, especially if the group&#8217;s format uses preset questions. But they do need to function as pastors.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Language creates culture, so we do need to give prayerful thought to the titles we use for those who lead groups. I realize that calling the group leader “pastor” may be even more intimidating for some than calling them “leader.”</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I have concluded that if I could go back 30 years, I would probably still choose the term “group leader.” Rather than changing the term, I would spend more time helping people redefine what it means to be a Christ-centered leader. That is, to love, care, and pray for their members &#8212; a pastor by any other name.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Eu frequentemente penso que se eu pudesse voltar cerca de trinta anos no tempo, ao ponto onde começamos a trabalhar no paradigma da igreja em células, eu evitaria utilizar o termo “líder de célula”. Muitas pessoas se consideraram inadequadas dizendo algo do tipo: “eu não levo jeito para líder”. Estas pessoas têm uma imagem do que seria um líder e estavam convencidas de que elas mesmas não eram líderes. Talvez elas vissem um líder como alguém com uma personalidade extrovertida e forte, que naturalmente atraía seguidores e era capaz de dizer o que essas pessoas deveriam fazer.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Entretanto esta imagem não descreve nem o papel nem as características de um líder de célula. As características mais importantes de um líder de célula eficaz são o amor e a oração. As pessoas que demonstram amor e oram diligentemente pelos membros da célula são muito mais eficazes na multiplicação dos grupos do que o líder com aquele estereótipo típico em sua personalidade.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Em virtude do seu amor pelos membros do grupo, os líderes eficazes se importam com o bem-estar espiritual e pessoal de cada um dos membros. Eles oram pelas necessidades e desenvolvimento dos membros. Em termos bíblicos, isso significa que eles “pastoreiam” os membros da célula. Eles não precisam funcionar como mestres, especialmente se o formato da célula pressupõe a utilização de perguntas previamente elaboradas. Mas eles precisam funcionar como pastores.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A linguagem participa na formação da cultura e por esta razão é importante que estejamos em oração e pensamos sobre os títulos que utilizamos para as pessoas que lideram as células. Eu compreendo, entretanto, que chamar os líderes de “pastores” pode ser até mais intimidador para alguns do que os chamar de “líderes”.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Minha conclusão é que se eu pudesse voltar 30 anos no tempo eu provavelmente ainda escolheria o termo “líder de célula”. Ao invés de mudar o termo, eu dedicaria mais tempo ajudando as pessoas a redefinir o que significa ser um líder centrado em Cristo. Isto significa amar, cuidar e orar pelos membros de sua célula, na prática, um pastor, seja qual nome for utilizado.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A menudo he pensado que si pudiera retroceder casi treinta años, a cuando comenzamos con el modelo de ministerio de la iglesia celular, evitaría usar el término &#8220;líder de grupo&#8221;. Demasiadas personas se autoexcluían de ese rol diciendo: &#8220;No soy el tipo de líder&#8221;. Tenían una imagen específica de un líder y estaban convencidas de que no lo eran. Quizás veían a un líder como alguien con una personalidad audaz y extrovertida que atraía seguidores de forma natural y les decía qué hacer.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sin embargo, esa imagen no describe el rol ni las características de un líder de grupo. Las características más importantes de un líder de grupo eficaz son el amor y la oración. Quienes demuestran amor a sus miembros y oran por ellos con diligencia son mucho más efectivos para multiplicar grupos que el estereotipo del &#8220;líder&#8221;.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Y dado que los líderes eficaces aman a los miembros de su grupo, se preocupan por su bienestar espiritual y personal. Interceden por las necesidades y el desarrollo de los miembros. En términos bíblicos, esto significa que los guían espiritualmente. No necesitan actuar como maestros, especialmente si el grupo utiliza preguntas preestablecidas. Pero sí necesitan actuar como pastores.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">El lenguaje crea cultura, por lo que debemos reflexionar con detenimiento sobre los títulos que usamos para quienes dirigen grupos. Entiendo que llamar al líder del grupo &#8220;pastor&#8221; puede resultar incluso más intimidante para algunos que llamarlo &#8220;líder&#8221;.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He llegado a la conclusión de que, si pudiera retroceder 30 años, probablemente seguiría eligiendo el término &#8220;líder de grupo&#8221;. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to the New Testament, the cell is the church. It is the very base of the church in action—not a midweek program that supplements the &#8220;real thing&#8221; on Sunday morning.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The early church was completely relational, not institutional. The members did not depend on one specially anointed leader to teach them and care for them. They instructed and cared for one another.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So what characterizes a true cell leader?</p>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>He is not merely leading a Bible study or keeping the discussion on track.</li>
<li>He is pastoring people and caring for souls as a shepherd.</li>
<li>He helps those who are struggling.</li>
<li>He builds up the body of Christ.</li>
<li>He faithfully engages in the work of ministry week after week.</li>
<li>He oversees the sub-groups of discipleship and accountability so that no one in the cell is left alone.</li>
<li>He closely pastors the intern leaders, preparing them for cell multiplication.</li>
</ul>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The cell leader is the most important person in the entire cell system, and he deserves full attention from the top down. If the cell leader fails, the lead pastor has also failed. If the trenches fail, the general has failed.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The cell leader must never be a lone ranger fighting by himself—that road leads to burnout sooner rather than later. He needs the care, coaching, and support of those over him.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Much more could be said about this hero in the most important role of the cell church. Let&#8217;s give him all the attention he deserves.</p>

<br>Segundo o Novo Testamento, a célula é a igreja. Ela é a própria base da igreja em ação — não apenas uma atividade de meio de semana que complementa o &#8220;culto principal&#8221; de domingo.

<br>O apóstolo Paulo escreveu à igreja que se reunia nas casas, em Romanos 15:14:

<br>&#8220;Meus irmãos, estou convencido de que vocês estão cheios de bondade, plenos de conhecimento e aptos para instruir uns aos outros.&#8221;
<br>
<br>A igreja primitiva era essencialmente relacional, não institucional. Os membros não dependiam de um único líder especialmente ungido para ensiná-los e cuidar deles; eles mesmos instruíam e cuidavam uns dos outros.
<br>
<br>Então, o que caracteriza um verdadeiro líder de célula?</p>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Ele não está apenas conduzindo um estudo bíblico ou mantendo a discussão no rumo certo.</li>
<li>Ele pastoreia pessoas e cuida de almas como um verdadeiro pastor de ovelhas.</li>
<li>Ele ajuda aqueles que estão enfrentando dificuldades.</li>
<li>Ele edifica o corpo de Cristo.</li>
<li>Ele se dedica fielmente à obra do ministério, semana após semana.</li>
<li>Ele supervisiona os subgrupos de discipulado e prestação de contas, garantindo que ninguém na célula fique desamparado.</li>
<li>Ele pastoreia de perto os líderes em treinamento, preparando-os para a multiplicação da célula.</li>
</ul>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">O líder de célula é a pessoa mais importante em todo o sistema de células e merece total atenção de toda a liderança, do topo à base. Se o líder de célula fracassa, o pastor principal também fracassou. Se as trincheiras falham, o general falhou.
<br>
<br>O líder de célula jamais deve agir como um &#8220;lobo solitário&#8221;, lutando por conta própria — esse caminho leva inevitavelmente ao esgotamento (burnout). Ele precisa do cuidado, da orientação e do apoio daqueles que estão acima dele na liderança.
<br>
<br>Muito mais poderia ser dito sobre esse herói que desempenha o papel mais importante na igreja em células. Vamos dar a ele toda a atenção que merece.

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Según el Nuevo Testamento, la célula es la iglesia. Es la base misma de la iglesia en acción, no un programa entre semana que complementa la &#8220;verdadera&#8221; reunión del domingo por la mañana.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">El apóstol Pablo escribió a la iglesia reunida en casas en Romanos 15:14:</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;Yo mismo estoy convencido, hermanos míos, de que ustedes mismos están llenos de bondad, de conocimiento y capacitados para instruirse unos a otros.&#8221;</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">La iglesia primitiva era completamente relacional, no institucional. Los miembros no dependían de un líder ungido especialmente para que los instruyera y cuidara. Se instruían y cuidaban unos a otros.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">¿Qué caracteriza entonces a un verdadero líder de célula?</p>

<li>Él pastorea a la gente y cuida de las almas como un pastor.</li>
<li>Él ayuda a quienes están pasando por dificultades.</li>
<li>Él edifica el cuerpo de Cristo.</li>
<li>Él se dedica fielmente a la labor del ministerio semana tras semana.</li>
<li>Supervisa los subgrupos de discipulado y rendición de cuentas para que nadie en la célula se quede solo.</li>
<li>Él guía de cerca a los líderes en prácticas, preparándolos para la multiplicación de células.</li>
</ul>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">El líder de célula es la persona más importante en todo el sistema celular y merece toda la atención de arriba hacia abajo. Si el líder de célula falla, el pastor principal también ha fallado. Si los miembros de la célula fallan, el líder general ha fallado.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">El líder de célula nunca debe actuar solo, luchando en solitario; ese camino conduce al agotamiento más pronto que tarde. Necesita el cuidado, la orientación y el apoyo de sus superiores.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mucho más se podría decir sobre este héroe que desempeña el papel más importante en la iglesia celular. Démosle toda la atención que merece.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Preparing leaders means raising the ceiling on how they see the calling — moving them from &#8220;I lead a discussion&#8221; to &#8220;I shepherd souls God has entrusted to my care.&#8221;</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A shepherd who shepherds alone eventually collapses, and the flock scatters. Jethro saw this in Moses and named it plainly: &#8220;What you are doing is not good. You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone&#8221; (Exodus 18:17-18). The lone-ranger small-group leader is not heroic; they are a ministry bottleneck waiting to burn out. The remedy is the same one Paul gave Timothy: &#8220;What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also&#8221; (2 Timothy 2:2). Four generations of leaders in a single verse.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Healthy groups multiply because the shepherd is always raising up apprentice shepherds — co-leaders, hosts, prayer leaders, care coordinators — until the group is no longer dependent on one personality. Empowerment is not the delegation of leftover tasks; it is the deliberate handing over of real ministry to real people who are then trusted to carry it out.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The path forward is to build teams of shepherds, not stables of facilitators. That requires three things from those who oversee small group ministry: a higher theology of the role, ongoing pastoral care for the leaders themselves, and a relentless commitment to apprenticeship. Leaders need to be shepherded before they can shepherd. They need to be reminded that Jesus, the Good Shepherd, knows His sheep by name (John 10:14) — and so should they. They need permission to share the load and the training to do so well. When a small group leader begins to see the eight people on the couch as a flock God has personally entrusted to them, and when that leader is surrounded by a team rather than carrying the weight alone, something shifts. The group ceases to be a program and becomes a church within the church — exactly what the New Testament had in mind all along.</p>

<br>Um pastor que pastoreia sozinho acaba entrando em colapso, e o rebanho se dispersa. Jetro percebeu isso em Moisés e apontou claramente: &#8220;Não é bom o que você está fazendo. Você e o povo que está com você certamente se esgotarão, pois a tarefa é pesada demais para você. Você não é capaz de fazê-la sozinho&#8221; (Êxodo 18:17-18). <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many churches train their cell leaders almost entirely in mechanics: how to open the meeting, break the ice, guide the topic, manage time, and close on schedule. All of that is necessary, but insufficient. A well-led meeting does not, by itself, produce a community that cares, disciples, and grows. The real shift happens when we stop asking, “How do I lead a meeting?” and begin asking, “How do I shepherd a cell?”</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That change requires broadening the training. The leader needs to learn basic pastoral care: listening, walking with people through crises, praying for them, visiting them, and knowing when to refer a case to the supervisor. The leader needs intentional discipleship to guide someone from conversion to baptism, formation, service, and leadership. The leader needs relational evangelism to keep the cell focused on the lost and not turn inward. And the leader needs to learn how to develop new leaders: identifying potential, delegating, training apprentices, and preparing for multiplication.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But pastoral care is not learned only in a course; it is learned by watching it in action. The coach must model with the leader what the leader will later do with the members. If the coach only demands reports, the leader will learn to demand them as well. But if the coach listens, visits, encourages, corrects, and walks alongside the leader, the leader will reproduce that same spirit. In this way, a culture is formed in which each level cares for the next: the pastor cares for the coaches, the coaches care for the leaders, the leaders care for the members, and the members learn to care for others.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The cell should not rest on a single strong leader, because that only breeds exhaustion and dependence. The goal is to form a team in which the various tasks are distributed among the cell’s core group. Shepherding, rather than merely holding a meeting, is the heart of every healthy cell.</p>

<br>Muitas igrejas treinam seus líderes de célula quase inteiramente nos aspectos práticos: como abrir a reunião, quebrar o gelo, conduzir o tema, gerenciar o tempo e encerrar no horário previsto. Tudo isso é necessário, mas insuficiente. Uma reunião bem conduzida não produz, por si só, uma comunidade que se importa, discipula e cresce. A verdadeira mudança ocorre quando paramos de perguntar &#8220;Como conduzo uma reunião?&#8221; e começamos a perguntar &#8220;Como pastoreio uma célula?&#8221;.

<br>Essa mudança exige ampliar o treinamento. O líder precisa aprender noções básicas de cuidado pastoral: ouvir, acompanhar as pessoas em crises, orar por elas, visitá-las e saber quando encaminhar um caso ao supervisor. O líder precisa de discipulado intencional para guiar alguém desde a conversão até o batismo, a formação, o serviço e a liderança. O líder precisa de evangelismo relacional para manter a célula focada nos perdidos e evitar que ela se volte apenas para si mesma. E o líder precisa aprender a desenvolver novos líderes: identificando potencial, delegando tarefas, treinando aprendizes e preparando-se para a multiplicação.

<br>No entanto, o cuidado pastoral não se aprende apenas em cursos; aprende-se observando-o na prática. O supervisor deve demonstrar ao líder, na prática, aquilo que o líder fará posteriormente com os membros. Se o supervisor apenas exigir relatórios, o líder aprenderá a exigi-los também. Mas, se o supervisor ouvir, visitar, encorajar, corrigir e caminhar ao lado do líder, este reproduzirá o mesmo espírito. Dessa forma, forma-se uma cultura na qual cada nível cuida do próximo: o pastor cuida dos supervisores, os supervisores cuidam dos líderes, os líderes cuidam dos membros e os membros aprendem a cuidar uns dos outros.

<br>A célula não deve depender de um único líder forte, pois isso gera apenas exaustão e dependência. O objetivo é formar uma equipe na qual as diversas tarefas sejam distribuídas entre o grupo central da célula. O pastoreio — e não apenas a realização de uma reunião — é o coração de toda célula saudável.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Muchas iglesias entrenan a sus líderes de célula en pura mecánica: cómo abrir, cómo romper el hielo, cómo guiar el tema, controlar el tiempo y cerrar a la hora. Todo eso es necesario, pero insuficiente. Una reunión bien dirigida no produce, por sí sola, una comunidad que cuida, disciplina y crece. El verdadero salto ocurre cuando dejamos de preguntar «¿cómo dirijo una reunión?» y empezamos a preguntar «¿cómo pastoreo una célula?».<strong></strong></p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ese cambio exige ampliar la capacitación. El líder necesita aprender atención pastoral básica: escuchar, acompañar crisis, orar por las personas, visitar y saber cuándo referir un caso al supervisor. Necesita discipulado intencional, para llevar a alguien desde la conversión hasta el bautismo, la formación, el servicio y el liderazgo. Necesita evangelización relacional, para que la célula mire hacia los perdidos y no se encierre en sí misma. Y necesita aprender a formar nuevos líderes: identificar potencial, delegar, entrenar aprendices y preparar la multiplicación.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pero el cuidado pastoral no se aprende solo en un curso; se aprende viéndolo. El supervisor debe modelar con el líder lo que el líder hará con sus miembros. Si el supervisor solo exige reportes, el líder aprenderá a exigir reportes; si escucha, visita, anima, corrige y acompaña, el líder reproducirá ese mismo espíritu. Así se forma una cultura donde cada nivel cuida al siguiente: el pastor cuida a los supervisores, estos a los líderes, los líderes a los miembros, y los miembros aprenden a cuidar a otros.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">La célula no debe descansar sobre un solo líder fuerte pues eso solo produce agotamiento y dependencia. Se trata de formar un equipo donde las diversas tareas se distribuyan entre el núcleo de la célula. Pastorear en lugar de solo hacer una reunión es el corazón de toda célula saludable.</p>
