With broken hearts we announce the passing of David Wayne Enright, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer at Matthews House Hospice on April 28th, 2026.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Barbara; his children, Rebecca Wood (Ken Wood) and Jennifer Enright (Darryl Henn); and his granddaughter Arya, who will always remember her Papa for his bubble eggs, his art classes and his trips on the boat. He is also survived by his brothers Charles (and Lou) and Pat (and Sue) and his many nieces and nephews. Also leaving behind his best friend Darryl (and Donna) Riggin and his puppy Riley who will miss him very much.

A man of steady hands and a constant heart, he was the quiet foundation our family was built upon. An avid outdoorsman, Dave found joy in fishing, hiking, hunting and exploring the beauty of nature. He found peace in the woods and out on the water, believing that a day spent in nature was never a day wasted. His water colours always tried to capture the beauty in the landscape and trees. Woodworking was also a passion that he shared with his daughter. They were always creating new pieces to make and sell. His legacy lives on in the values his instilled in his daughters and those around him.

Dave’s adventurous spirit and boundless enthusiasm will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A celebration of life will be held for close friends and family at Kingsmere Retirement Home, 4649 Adjala Tecumseth Townline, Alliston, ON L9R 0C4, in the Clubhouse on Saturday June 27th from 1:00-4:00pm.

SALMON, WILLIAM (BILL) AMBROSE With heavy hearts, we share the news that on Friday, May 1, 2026, Bill passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Bill will be greatly missed by his beloved wife and partner in everything, Carmen; his daughters, Alana (Will) Georgas and Marissa Salmon; and his cherished grandchildren, Lia and Ben Georgas. He will also be dearly missed by his sister Joan (Dave) Preston; his adored four-legged friends, Murphy and Scout; and his extended family including nieces; nephews and cousins near and far. Bill was predeceased by his parents, John Thomas (“Jack”) and Mary (“Maizie”) Salmon and his sister, Patricia (Wayne) Silverson.

Bill grew up on a farm in Smiths Falls, Ontario and this upbringing shaped much of who he became. He loved animals and the great outdoors, found joy in puttering, building and fixing things of all shapes and sizes, and always had an eye for that unmistakable John Deere green. Bill enjoyed a varied and interesting career that defies easy categorization. A cartographer by trade, he began his career at CP Rail and went on to hold a range of roles in the real estate sector, including property manager, mortgage broker, developer, and independent consultant. Bill was particularly proud of the work he did supporting the acquisition of over 1000 acres for the Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust, helping to preserve and protect this land for years to come.

Outside of work, Bill lived a rich and full life. He was a loyal friend and could always be counted on for thoughtful advice whether it was about buying a car, planning a vacation, or choosing a dog (Golden Retriever, always). Many happy days were spent at the family cottage on Long Lake in Bala, where Bill could often be found at the helm of a boat, reading a good book, or barbequing on the back deck.  The family farm, which he called home for the past 30-plus years was a cherished gathering spot for family and friends. Bill loved nothing more than sharing these special places with others, and over the past few days, we have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and stories of how he touched so many lives.

Above all though, Bill loved his family, and we loved him. He was a devoted husband, proud father and the perfect “Grampsie”. Memories of Christmases, birthdays, graduations, weddings and millions of moments in between will live on in our hearts forever.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the professional and compassionate team of caregivers who supported our family over the past few months and helped fulfill Bill’s wish to remain at home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and details will be shared with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Odette Cancer Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, or to a charity close to your heart.

Milne: Margaret–Mary “Marg” (nee: Keenan),

In Bradford Ontario, God called Margaret peacefully on May 2, 2026 at the age of 81 years.

She will be forever missed by her son Thomas (Verna), and daughter Pam (Christian). Cherished by her grand children Hanna, Ben (Sarah), and Victoria.

Margaret was a dedicated nurse for over 40 years and graduated from Women’s College in Toronto. She started her career at St. Michael’s Hospital, worked most of her career at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, and retired from Leisure World Nursing Home in Barrie.

Marg will be sadly missed by her beloved friend Rick (Eva). She will be held dear in the hearts of her sister Helen (Fred), her brother Dan (Valerie), Jeannette (the late Ken), many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is now reunited in Heaven with her Father Thomas Keenan and Mother Hazel (nee: Shortell) and brothers James (Margaret), and Paul.

Following Marg’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. James Church Colgan at a time and date yet to be determined. Please check back to the funeral home website as details become available.

With her family by her side on April 29, 2026 at St. Paul’s Hospital Vancouver, God called her home. Feyona Mah (nee: Chan) at the age of 76 years, beloved wife of the late Carl Mah. Loving mother of Alvin Mah (Rachel) and Fr. Eric Mah. Dear grandmother of Aidan and Kayla Mah. Predeceased by her parents Tung Yu Lee and Ying Chan. Sadly missed by her siblings: Grace Der (the late Jimmy), Dorothy Ko-Chu, Anna Sullivan, Paul Chan (ManYee), Kam Chan (Agnes), and the late Peter Chan (Rosa). Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Philip Der, George Chu, Timmy Chan (Diana), Joanne Sullivan (Matt Wallace), Michael Sullivan, Cynthia Chan (Jessica Bradley), Anthony Chan (Matea Bubic-Chan), David Chan (Annie), Anthony Chan (Mary Lu), and her great-nieces and nephews: Michael Chu, Brandon Chu, Michael Sullivan, Brianna Sullivan, Pearl Wallace, Oona Wallace, Samantha Chan, and newborn Kaley Chan. It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Douglas Ball announces his passing on April 16, 2026, at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario.

Doug had been a patient at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston since January 2026 and was later transferred to RVH due to kidney failure.

Born in Toronto on June 17, 1946, Doug moved to the New Tecumseth area in 1998, where he made his home in Beeton with his long-time partner, Barb Roberts.

In his earlier years, Doug cherished traveling with his family, creating many lasting memories together. He often spoke fondly of trips with his father in their old camper pick-up truck and of his love for visiting Hawaii.

Doug worked for approximately 10 years in the manufacturing of salon products and later in the assembly of sewing machines. He also generously gave his time as a volunteer driver with the Red Cross.

He enjoyed playing cards and completing puzzles, and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Beeton. Doug especially looked forward to Friday afternoons spent playing crib with his dear friend Al.

Doug also had a passion for square dancing. The dances in Bond Head were a favourite pastime for both Doug and Barb, and he was known as a wonderful dancer.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Stevenson Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care Doug received, as well as to the doctors and nurses at Royal Victoria Hospital for their compassion during his final days. Words cannot fully express their appreciation. They feel truly blessed to be part of such a caring community.

Thank you to all friends, neighbours, and acquaintances for your prayers, kind words, cards, and visits during this difficult time.

Scott “Scotty” Thomson

September 30th 1957-April 19th 2026

Scott was born under a Mediterranean sky in Floriana Malta on September 30th 1957. He grew up in Scotland with his mother Phyllis Thomson, his father Robert “Bob” Thomson, his older brother Glenn, and his two younger brothers Robert and Ken. They immigrated to Canada together where he celebrated his 8th Birthday. He lived in the Swansea neighbourhood, getting into a healthy amount of trouble with his brothers and friends playing at Willard park, Rennie skating rink and fishing at Catfish pond. In his teen years he bought himself a Kawasaki motorcycle and became a brother again to twin sisters, Janet and Janice. He met a beautiful girl, Patricia Campbell who a few years later became his wife on August 21st 1982.

He joined the TTC working on the tracks and would later begin driving the streetcars, then the buses for 29 years, ending his career with a few years as a divisional trainer. He loved learning and doing all kinds of work. Building ice rinks, rejuvenating the Poor Alex theatre, climbing onto a roof, or digging out a basement. He met so many of his lifelong friends this way.

When their first child, Sharon was born, they stayed in Swansea for a couple more years until they moved into a large old Victorian home in the Junction neighbourhood. This was great timing as his son James was born shortly after.

The Annette house became a home to so many people. Scott was always welcoming and had an extra space for whoever needed it. What he couldn’t have imagined is how every person who came to live there would form deep lasting connections with his family. From parties in the backyard, to late night talks or guitar playing in the kitchen. Together, Scott and Patricia created a loving home where everyone became family and the doors were never locked.

He gained the love of his in-laws Jim and Josie Campbell and Patricia’s siblings, Debbie, Eleanor, Victoria and Kenneth. He was someone they could always rely on, always there when they needed him, never asking for anything in return.

He loved his family very much and was so proud that he had 20 nieces and nephews from both sides of his family. His greatest joy came from his 5 grandchildren. He had special and unique relationships with each of them. Sharon and Jamie’s children-Rylan 22, Robyn 17, Ronan 9, Rosalie 5 and James and Sveta’s daughter Meadow 3. He was so excited to learn from James and Sveta that another grandson is on the way this summer. A grandson who will carry on his proud Thomson name.

Scott has always expressed to his family how happy he was in his life. How he loved living out of the city. He had everything he wanted and enjoyed his almost 11 years of retirement keeping his fireplace stocked with wood, swimming at the pool, going for rides on his motorcycle, tinkering with the snowblower or riding the lawnmower. He was always happy to enjoy a beer with his friends. Sitting around the fire and enjoying that beautiful view of the Niagara Escarpment he loved to talk about any chance he got.

He unexpectedly departed this earth on April 19th 2026 in Halton Hills, Canada. Patricia, Sharon and James were with him while he fought so hard to stay.

Scott’s wishes were that he didn’t want a traditional funeral. He wanted everyone to be together and eat a hamburger for him. He didn’t want anyone to feel sad. A celebration of his life will be held at his home in Halton Hills on May 2nd and 3rd. Suddenly passed away at his home in Schomberg on April 23, 2026. Andy MacPherson at the age of 88 years, son of the late Donald and May MacPherson of London England. Loved baby brother of Agnes (predeceased) and Mary of London England. Beloved husband of Elizabeth MacPherson (Cambourne/Cairns). Much loved step father to Lisa (Dave) Whittaker of Newmarket, Lyle (Janice) Cairns of Haliburton, Marsha (David -predeceased) Reitzel of Waterloo, and Darryl (Sandra) Cairns of Churchill. Step grandfather of eleven and step great grandfather of eight (ninth due in June). Forever in the hearts of his extended family and many friends.

Forestell: Patrick Gerard,

It is with sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Patrick Forestell on March 19, 2026, in St. Albert, Alberta, at the age of 93.

He will be greatly missed by his sister, Theresa Hewittson; his children, Mary Wood (Mike), Nancy Forestell (Peter), and Gerry Forestell (Anne); his grandchildren, Alex (Nikki), Cait (Ben), Kieran, Ben (Palma), and Nathan (Samantha); his great-grandchildren, Owen and Emmy; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Alice (nee O’Leary).

Pat was born the 9th of 11 children to Helena and Daniel Forestell in Coniston, Ontario. His strong work ethic was established early on. As a teenager, and while still in school, he worked a succession of jobs as a cook’s assistant on a railway maintenance gang, delivering milk, and driving a taxi. After graduating from high school, he began a 40-year career with the Canadian National Railway, starting out as an operator in stations across northern and southern Ontario, and ending as a train control officer in Toronto. Throughout the 60 years he lived in Tottenham after his marriage to Alice, he was involved in the local community as a volunteer firefighter, Public Utilities Commissioner, and treasurer of the St. Francis Xavier church parish council. He was also an avid sports enthusiast, playing hockey, golf, curling, and cross-country skiing. As a golfer, he was proud of both his 3 holes-in-one and being able to still walk the fairway well into his 80s.

One of Pat’s most notable accomplishments was his role as a caregiver to Alice who had progressive MS. Over numerous years, his care made it possible for her to live as fully as possible and to remain at home. He was beloved among the personal care workers who came to their home because of his devotion to Alice and the respect and appreciation he consistently showed to them.

At the age of 85, Pat made the difficult decision to leave Tottenham to live near his eldest daughter, Mary, in St. Albert, Alberta. In the years which followed, he experienced relatively good health and enjoyed opportunities to spend time with family from near and far. Although he expressed exasperation with Alberta politics from time to time, he was willing to appreciate the talents of the Edmonton Oilers despite his unwavering loyalty to the Montreal Canadiens. He also continued to regularly skunk his children at Cribbage.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Mission Hill Village, to his home care workers, and to his family physician, Dr. Hamza Alqesar.
