You all know I love a quick recipe and this one you can do in like 10 minutes.

Here is all you’ll need to make it:

HOW TO MAKE IT:

To make it you’ll first, Spray a square baking dish with non-stick spray.

Add the chocolate chips to the bottom of the dish in an even layer.

Place the Peeps marshmallows on top and bake at 350 for 5-10 minutes.

Watch carefully, so that the marshmallows don’t puff too much, or burn.

That’s all you have to do to make this tasty Easter themed treat!

Serve and Enjoy warm! Have fun dipping all kinds of cookies and treats into it for Easter!

Easy Easter Peeps S’Mores Dip!

A fun and easy Easter themed S'Mores Dip recipe to make with Peeps Marshmallows!

Prep Time 5 minutes minutes

Cook Time 7 minutes minutes

Servings 10

Ingredients

• 3 Cups milk chocolate chips
• 18 Peeps Bunny marshmallows Can be Bunnies or Chicks!
• Graham crackers or any cookies or cookie you'd like to dunk.

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 350
• Spray a square baking dish with non-stick spray.
• Add the chocolate chips to the bottom of the dish in an even layer.
• Place the Peeps marshmallows on top.
• Bake at 350 for 5-10 minutes, watching carefully, so that the marshmallows don't puff too much, or burn.
• Serve and enjoy while warm and soft!

Check out our thoughts on Daredevil Born Again Season 2!

Hey All!

Daredevil Born Again returns to Disney Plus March 24^th and its continuation from the events of the episodes released in 2025 have me considering this as more Season One Part 2 rather than just Season 2. The characters, aesthetic style, and tone are all the same here and by the final episode I would say there is a resolution, albeit not a conclusion, that was not really present at the end of the first nine episodes.

The cast in this includes only one newcomer in the form of Matthew Lillard (Scream, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and the live action Scooby Doo films from the early 2000s). His character of Mr. Charles is a cocky and very connected implied CIA operative. How connected is he? Well at one point he takes a phone call from a very high-ranking character in the US Government who has previously appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; be sure to be listening for their name.

Returning cast is almost everyone. The obvious and most important ones are of course Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin respectively. Other obvious returns include Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Wilson Bethel as Dexter/Bullseye, and each one of them gets more screentime, more to do, and have a much greater impact on the story in the show. It is in providing these key characters and their talented actors who embody them which really mark the elevation in Daredevil Born Again’s return.

In particular, I really enjoyed every moment that Wilson Bethel was on the screen. Bethel manages to deliver the perfect balance of fun and psychotic through Bullseye trying to “do the right thing” and thinking he is “doing the right thing” with his chosen acts of violence. In a season which is devoid of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Bullseye fills the slot as the person racking up the body count. There is a diner scene in the middle of the season which will become a moment for me to watch over and over with demented glee.

Cast introduced for Born Again who are returning include Genneya Walton (Candy Cane Lane) as B.B. Urich, Margarita Levieva (The Lincoln Lawyer, The Acolyte) as Heather Glenn, Clark Johnson (Homicide: Life on the Street) as Cherry, and Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of New York, The Deuce). Of these returning cast, it is Gandolfini’s Daniel and Levieva’s Heather Glenn who get the most evolution in their stories and characters.

Also returning, although in less noticeable volume after episode 3, is the use of changing aspect ratio, exaggerated lighting and filters, and the “man on the street” interview inserts provided by the BB Report which was introduced when Daredevil Born Again began. A counter “viral video” called “City Without Fear” is also introduced and inserted randomly in the same way. These moments continue to provide a definite aesthetic split from the original Netflix Daredevil show and that does impact the pacing and audience patience depending on individual interest. I think the use of these tricks is cool but overall have not added anything to enhance the show.

In its return, Daredevil Born Again levels up in both the quality and quantity of action and violence. Both including more sequences of choregraphed fight scenes and the violence inflicted by Wilson Fisk’s Gestapo-like Anti Vigilante Officers. The blending of real-life violence and impacts against the super natural violence really hammers home the idea that the characters performing the supernatural feats in these action sequences are meant to be more symbolic.

Though the action and violence has been increased, it is mainly in the scenes with the main characters of Matt, Fisk, Vanessa, Karen, and Bullseye where the show is at its best. These are seasoned actors who know their characters and love to make them shine. The energy in their conversations and arguments are the same quality and dynamism you would see on any prestige dramatic show.

For anyone curious, though The Punisher is not present, we do get two characters that return from the “Marvel Netflix” world. It has already been revealed that Kristin Ritter’s Jessica Jones is back, albeit in only a few scenes, but there is another character who returns in the final episode who really adds to the signal that Marvel Live Action is looking to capture more of what they had and explored in their previous “Marvel Netflix” shows. The impact these characters have on the show is about the same that The Punisher had in the beginning half of Daredevil Born Again.

Overall, Daredevil Born Again’s return is satisfying and relatable enough to hold audiences over until these beloved characters reappear in the next season. Daredevil Born Again is not the family friendly Marvel Cinematic Universe of The Avengers, so please consider that before watching with younger audiences.

Hey All!

Within the first 30 minutes of Pixar’s Hoppers, the film, by way of dialogue, overtly acknowledges its connection to James Cameron’s Avatar. The scene itself refers to how University Scientists have designed a device to put the consciousness of a human into the artificially designed animals as way to study animals within their habitat; hopping bodies.

The story also resembles Avatar with its themes on protecting the environment and how nature is often suffers in pursuit of the civilized progression of humankind. The same themes are also found in other animated classics such as Fox’s Fern Gully and Studio Ghibli’s Princess Monokoke.

The part of the story in Hoppers which is not covered in the aforementioned films is that the animal kingdom in Hoppers decides to strike back. This is more reminiscent of Studio Ghibli’s Pom Poko, in which racoons band together to fight the development of suburban homes and a golf course. In Hoppers, the mayor of Beaverton is wanting to destroy a creek and the land to make way for a highway.

Where Hoppers stands apart from all the previous iterations of this story is how the human champion of the wildlife and the land is connected. The heroine of Hoppers is Mabel Tanaka, a young university student who has been trying to liberate animals and fight industrialization since she was a child. In addition to always being a champion for animal freedom, Mabel also developed a connection to the creek which is in jeopardy by way of spending years of her life at said creek with her equally nature loving grandmother who, in Pixar and Disney tradition, is now deceased.

When the film catches up to Mabel (Piper Curda from May December and Teen Beach Two) in present day, we see she has the spirit of a fighter and combats, what looks like, every single development the mayor of Beaverton (Jon Hamm from Mad Men) initiates; they are on a first name speaking basis. The latest development is the destruction of a creek to make way for a highway.

She learns from one of the university professors, Dr. Sam (Kathy Najimy from Hocus Pocus) that if a beaver takes residence in the creek, them rebuilding the dam will bring back the other animal inhabitants and reestablish the ecosystem and halt development. While attempting to lure a beaver, Mabel encounters an artificial beaver and follows it back to the source which begins the adventure.

On this adventure, Mabel, with her consciousness in the artificial beaver, learns of the various animal kingdoms and the rules by which they live. The King of the Mammals is a beaver named George played by Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live alum) with whom Mabel builds a very strong friendship and finds a place of value as the “Paw of the King”, a not so subtle but very cute Game of Thrones reference. Mabel, with her fiery passion, inspires an animal kingdom revolution which ends up being more intense and dangerous than she bargained for.

Hoppers is very much a story about revolution in that it asks people to change their paths and how they live their lives; the revolution in question is the ability for humanity and nature to coexist. When presented with the concept of the animal revolution, many of the kingdoms side with a more intense approach by stating they want to “squish” the humans the same way the humans squish them.

King George’s passiveness prevents the contrasting view of a more peaceful revolt which Mabel is both more practiced in and in favor of. From this point in the film, we see how the effects of a more intense revolution and why a more peaceful revolution in which we change how we work today by seeing one another’s perspective, provides a favorable outcome to everyone involved.

Fans of Pixar in general will also enjoy the wealth of easter eggs sprinkled through the film. References are made to Up as the schematics for a talking dog collar are revealed, a young turtle named Crush (same name as the sea turtle from Finding Nemo) is liberated in one scene, Mabel’s last name is Tanaka like one of the characters from Big Hero Six, and the caterpillar who is Prince of the Insects resembles Heimlich from A Bug’s Life. And, as per usual, the animation is perfection.

Pixar’s technology and art development maintains the highest of animation standards with its illustration of the trees, water, dirt, etc… of nature; I have always believed that no animation studio captures water the way that Pixar does and Hoppers is just another notch in the belt of proving that belief correct.

The messages of Hoppers to be both peaceful in how we change our lives as well as why it’s important to protect wildlife and nature, are made very clear so that the intended message is understood by the intended youthful audience. The moments of humor in Hoppers is also very big and the laughs come easy.

Chatting with Aaron Pierre on his character Main Attraction in the new animated film Goat!

Hey All!

We had the amazing opportunity to chat with Aaron Pierre about his amazing new character Main Attraction from the new Sony Pictures Animation film GOAT. This film comes to you from the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the artists that made KPop Demon Hunters.

It’s an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world. The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world.

Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!”

It’s a great film about believing in yourself and never giving up on your dreams. It’s a fun film that the whole family can enjoy! Check it out in theaters now!

It was so fun to chat with Aaron Pierre about his character in the film and about what his dream animated character to voice would be. I felt like I already knew the answer since he was already the voice of Mufasa!

Aaron Pierre:

Mufasa was it. I’m not going to sit here and pretend it was anything else. I’ve already done it, however, uh, you know, there are so many animated characters available to play, available to voice and, you know, much more being created every year. So this is something certainly that I have every intention of, you know, alongside my film work and alongside my work on stage. I have every intention of doing this. um again and again and again. I have so much fun every time I do it. it’s quite addictive actually.

I was curious to know what quality does he love and relate to most about his character Main Attraction?

Aaron Pierre:

I think the quality that I love the most is his relentless pursuit of excellence. You know, granted, I think there are moments where his emotional maturity is not quite there and you know how that maybe presents itself is not always the most digestible way for those around him and is really not the most ideal objectively. But I think yes, his relentless nature is something that I really love and relate to. I think if I could have a conversation with main attraction, I would actually say to him that he doesn’t need to lose his tenacity. He doesn’t need to lose that relentlessness that he has in pursuing his goals and his dreams, but it can just be engaged with in a way that is kind and not detrimental to those around him.

Hey All!

The first Marvel Studios property getting released for 2026 could possibly be the most unique of the year and maybe the most unique in a long time. We were allowed to watch the entire season of Wonder Man in advance of it’s release. Wonder Man is a Marvel Studios/Marvel Spotlight production and is only the second production released under the Marvel Spotlight “label.”

The previous Marvel Spotlight production was Echo, another very unique production which focused on telling the story of a young antiheroine who was of Native American descent as was also deaf. The Marvel Spotlight productions, with Wonder Man now, seem to be aiming for more grounded themes and struggles which occur in a world of superheroes, magic, and aliens. I think of it as the Fox Searchlight to the Fox Studios productions from the early 2000s.

Wonder Man follows the character of Simon Williams, who does exist in the Marvel Comics but in a very different capacity. Simon Williams is a struggling actor in modern day Hollywood, California and is portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman, The Matrix Resurrections) in what I now regard as his best performance I have seen him give to date. The range of humor, drama, charisma, and quietly powerful presence that Yahya brings to the role of Simon Williams is the best showcase of him as a leading man in a major property and I hope people site Wonder Man when considering him for future projects.

Though Yahya is the star, it cannot be understated the contribution that Sir Ben Kingsley (Ghandi, House of Sand and Fog, Iron Man 3) brings to the production. An actor of Ben Kingsley’s ability and regard could have easily stolen any scene from any actor, but his performance is immensely complimentary to both Yahya’s performance and the wild rollercoaster that is the Wonder Man series.

The rest of main cast is Simon Williams’ agent Janelle (X Mayo from The Blackening), the fictional celebrated director Von Kovak (Zlatko Burić from 2025’s Superman), and Arian Moayed (Spider-Man No Way Home) returning as Agent Cleary.

In a standalone episode which has the most visual departure and flare in the series, Byron Bowers (No Sudden Move) appears as another superpowered person named Demarr Davis The Doorman. Two major cameos of actors playing themselves are Joe Pantiliano (The Matrix, The Goonies) and Josh Gadd (Olaf from Disney’s Frozen).

The show’s tone is very reminiscent of HBO’s Entourage with the blending of ridiculous humor, moments of poignant introspection, and celebrity cameos playing exaggerated versions of themselves by their own name. The struggles of an actor in Hollywood to be taken seriously is showcased very well in that the struggles are not just those by having the intense competition for roles but also how an actor can sometimes unintentionally sabotage themselves.

It also explores, in unexpected detail, the process of developing productions. The Studio on Apple TV Plus is another show which looks deep into this detail with a feeling of the same reverence for the art and admitting how ridiculous “the business” can be. That is the kind of show Wonder Man is.

As aforementioned, there is also one standalone episode called Doorman about the character Demarr Davis who is an allegory for exploited people who get 15 minutes of fame and the dangers of not being able to control the up and down spiral that fame throws into one’s life. It may become the most talked about episode of the series and deservingly so.

I was not sure what to expect from Wonder Man, but I am very pleasantly surprised that it was not hiding what it was and not like something the Marvel Studios has done before. Do not begin this show thinking it is covering up some hidden meaning or that there will be an insane and earth-shattering reveal.

This is just good storytelling with a morale tale that just happens to take place in a world where some people have superpowers. And it is not over saturated with superpowers or even special effects. There is no name dropping for the sake of name dropping, except maybe a real-life celebrity or two.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is the handling of the character of Trevor Slattery who first appeared as a joke in Iron Man 3, continued as comedic relief in Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Without changing any aspect of the character, this story and Ben Kingsley’s performance recontextualizes the character. Still very silly, Trevor’s tragedy gets more fleshed out as he becomes a cautionary tale and mentor of sorts for Simon Williams; the has-been actor guiding the rookie into his first big break.

In addition to the actor’s struggle, it should be said that the Marvel element in the story is that Simon Williams does in fact have superpowers and those powers put him on the radar of Damage Control (the government agency which monitors and tries to clean up messes created by super powered individuals which was introduced in the MCU back in Spider-Man Homecoming).

Arian Moayed (Spider-Man No Way Home) reprises his role as Agent Clearly of Damage Control. Agent Clearly is not a villain, just a member of an authoritative agency and he is looking to rise in the ranks by “collaring” a major threat. This makes up the minor story arc in the first season of Wonder Man which could lead to Wonder Man returning (fingers crossed he and the show does).

The best part of the show and its focus is the journey of friendship and fame with Simon and Trevor. Admittedly, I have not read a lot of Wonder Man comics so I cannot say that fans of the character will appreciate this take. I am not sure if anyone will be disappointed at the lack of super heroics.

That is not to say that there is not a heroic moment, but the heroism is more about making good decisions; the battles are internal as each character struggles with their own moral compasses.

Disney Plus will be releasing all eight episodes on January 27^th. They are very fast watches as no episode exceeds 35 minutes in length and the pacing is also fast. Do not sleep on watching Wonder Man. Make it your next binge! Wonder Man is an excellent showcase of talent and storytelling that veers away from the more bombastic nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its more grounded, though no less entertaining, the tone is a wonderful and welcome surprise.

Additionally, I will say that there is nothing that is actually inappropriate for younger audiences, but the less explosive nature of the show may be underwhelming for those younger audiences. That’s just a long winded way of saying you can totally watch Wonder Man with the kids in the room but they may not be into it as much as more mature viewers.

Goodbye Stranger Things! I will miss you more than you could ever know!

Hey All!

After a decade in the making, Stranger Things has finally come to an end and it feels almost like I’m in mourning. I have been in tears daily since it ended and I keep thinking of that line that Vision says, “What is grief, if not love persevering?”. And that’s just what this is. My heart aches because I’m trying to hold on to something I loved and meant so much to me. I’m fighting to hold on to the feelings the show made me feel.

I know most would say you’re being so dramatic! It’s just a show. This show was not just a show to me! It brought me back to my childhood. It brought me a nostalgia and a feeling and understanding of what it was like to grow up in that time. It transported me back to a simpler time even with all the monsters and adventures. A time free of social media, likes, views, and the internet. It wasn’t that I had a great child hood. It was pretty terrible, but I remember the times with my friends and my chosen family.

A time when people connected, made their own adventures and truly were there for each other because we didn’t have anyone else to lean on. 

Often our parents weren’t there for us, so we raised and supported each other. This show ending was like saying goodbye to my childhood, saying goodbye to my best friend who I lost at 10, saying goodbye to my family and friends all over again when I moved across the country to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of filmmaking. Dealing with the pain of never seeing some of them ever again. I knew I loved this show with a passion, but I never realized how much it meant to me until that ending and watching the kids say goodbye to their childhood. It hit me like a ton of bricks. 

I feel like I went to a funeral and I’m struggling to deal with the grief.  The grief of dealing with saying goodbye to my childhood and all that was a simpler time, but also the grief of saying goodbye to all the amazing experiences and memories I have because of this show! No one did activations and events like Netflix and Stranger Things. No show has made me want to collect every piece of merch and dress up and just have fun like this show.

Sure, I loved Game of Thrones, but Stranger Things always hit differently because every time a new season came on, it was almost like I got to go back to that time and relive those memories of hanging out and going on adventures with my friends. Hanging out at the mall, sneaking in and out of houses! Dressing in that clothing and listening to that music. It made you feel like it was all just yesterday and Netflix always did elaborate events for the fans and for creators to attend that truly helped transport you to year they were covering on the show.

The memories I have with my husband, working with Netflix, the friends I made because of this show, going to comic con and lighting a candle for barb and meeting Barb.

Having the best time trying to get that Dustin Stranger Things hat at comic con, because they had the best activation for Season 2.

Going to a real life Scoops Ahoy…

And having the most amazing demagorgon themed ice cream ever…

And then throwing a full on Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Party to binge watch the show.

I literally made that Scoops Ahoy sign and these ice cream cups for my own USS Butterscotch sundae!

I went all out with themed parties, dressing up, just having the time of my life with this show. I will miss making those memories with this show the most! I took my baby son when he was under 1 years old to a Stranger Thing event and dressed him up in a scoops ahoy outfit.

One of the best times of my entire life was had with my husband, where we stayed up for 24 hours straight with Netflix and binged Stranger Things season 2. I was part of their Netflix Stream Team Creators and they threw a huge sleepover and had us binge all of season two! I miss being a part of the Stream Team so much! I have loved Netflix and this show since day one and it felt like a dream come true being a part of it.

We were called the Binge Racers and they had everything from an Eggo Waffle Truck…

To Kali/008 showing up and hanging out with us! Kali deserved so much better than how the world treated her character both on the show and as viewers. She did an incredible job as this character and she was so kind to all of us.

They had a target they built and they handed us all the merch that was out at the time and they even had old school cereals and food every hour on the hour! They transported us to hawkins and to that time and we lived in it it for 24 hours straight. We didn’t want it to end!

It was an incredible event and experience Netflix invited us to and we literally had the time of our lives! We talk about it every time we talk about Stranger Things or when we think of a time we had the most fun together. We had such a great time at this event, that when we finally came home 24 hours later we binged the whole season all over again. We were up for 48 hours straight on a Stranger Things high for season 2! That’s how much we loved this show!

These are just some of the photos and memories we had with this show. There are too many to share! It brought me and my husband closer together by having this show that we both loved so much. It was the best having a partner to geek out with and have these moments with.

I think that’s what hurts the most. I will miss making those memories with this show and with my husband and now son! Sure I will show it to my son when he’s older, but it just won’t be the same.

I will miss looking forward to seeing another season, as it felt like getting to see some friends that you haven’t seen in a long time and they are about to tell you all about the adventure they had when they were gone. It’s like I feel just like Mike saying goodbye at the end to his childhood and to a life he loved and knew and to all the amazing times he had with his friends. It feels even deeper than that, it feels like I’m finally saying goodbye to my childhood, because I truly never said goodbye to mine. I always had this mentality of I never want to grow up and I’m always going to let me inner child live on.

Something about seeing this show really affected me and made me realize it’s time to really say goodbye and let it all go. It’s time to let go and move forward and heal.

And as far as the final show goes, I loved it and in regards to what really happened to Eleven/Jane, I choose to believe! I believe she made it out and for the first time in her life is living for herself and not everyone else, because she always felt obligated to keep them safe. I feel she chose to kill Eleven to let Jane finally live. She chose herself because she deserved to choose herself and live a life different from all she has lived in her short life and I’m happy for her. She needed to leave it all behind and finally live her life free of everything that brought her so much pain.

Even if she loved them as her chosen family and loved Mike as her first love, She recognized this is her first love and life doesn’t have to be this way. She realized nothing would change if she didn’t leave. She set herself free! She knew she would find a life and love again.

She found a way out with the help of Kali and made a choice to remember Mike in a small way by finding a place similar to what they dreamed. It brought me to tears when I saw it! If he ever goes looking for those water falls maybe he’ll find her one day, but honestly I’m happy with her ending up with someone else and living her life how ever she chooses because she finally has a choice and she deserves it.

I took the sigh she lets out when she finds the water falls and town as a sigh of relief that she’s finally free and she finally found the place they both dreamed of to finally rest and live life. From the backpack and how disheveled she looks. You can see she’s been searching that whole year. And to those who are like how did she get there.

She has power to get whatever she wants! She wanted Eggos and she went and got them. If she needed clothes and money, she would find a way to get it. It’s not really hard to imagine her doing whatever she had to do to get there. I’m just glad they show us that she did make it out.

That’s what I chose to believe. The Duffers make it pretty obvious that it is what happens with all the hints of Mike putting it together and the song choice at the end, but it’s up to you on what you believe. That’s what I choose to believe as I’m choosing hope. I’m both happy for her but heartbroken at the same time as I will miss this show and what it meant to me so much!

I cried through the whole final episode and I’ve cried the whole time writing this.
