Pharmacists who administer COVID-19 vaccines to minors without parental consent are protected from liability by the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act, the Kansas Court of Appeals ruled.
The PREP Act, which immunizes a “covered person” that has a relationship with the administration of a “covered countermeasure,” which includes protecting those who administer pandemic countermeasures from liability, also protects pharmacists and pharmacies administering vaccines to children without permission from their parents, the appeals court ruled.
