The Georgetown University Law Center community is mourning the sudden passing of its assistant dean and registrar.
Simone Marie Woung, L’97, died on March 17 after a brief illness, according to the school’s announcement.
“Simone was a beloved colleague and mentor, and her contributions to our campus were many,” Georgetown Law Dean William M. Treanor said in a statement. “She was a law student, a student worker and ultimately she rose to head an office that is central to everything we do, and she did so with remarkable skill, dedication, and leadership.”
