The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that a veterans’ club deemed a “vexatious,” or serial filer, of meritless lawsuits can’t avoid a statutory rule saying it must obtain leave from the trial court to lodge a new action by having a lawyer file that new action.

Huber Heights Veterans Club had been ruled a “vexatious litigator” by the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, a state trial court, which cited Ohio Laws and Administrative Rules Section 2323.52, according to the state Supreme Court.
