Am Law 200 firm Cole Schotz and one of its lawyers were sued by the New York City commissioner of international affairs, who claimed a bungled closing agreement for a luxury Upper West Side condo cost him more than $6 million.

The legal malpractice lawsuit claims real estate lawyer John S. Stewart failed to include language in the purchase agreement ensuring that, should the closing not go through, the deposit would be returned.
