Administrative Judge Adam Silvera of the New York County Supreme Court-Civil Term on Wednesday denied former President Donald Trump’s request to move the New York Attorney General’s fraud suit to the court’s Commercial Division, ruling that the case was appropriately assigned to the judge who presided over a years-long discovery battle between Trump and AG Letitia James.

Silvera’s ruling means that a show cause hearing scheduled for Oct. 31 is set to proceed before Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron, who began handling the discovery issues in 2020.
