It came as no surprise when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit ruled Wednesday that Georgia’s abortion ban can take effect—given the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health to overturn the protections for abortion in by Roe v. Wade and its progeny.
But the instant effect stunned even the attorneys involved.
