Tamara F. Lawson has been named the next dean of the University of Washington School of Law, effective Aug. 16.
Lawson is set to succeed UW Law professor Elizabeth Porter, who has served as interim dean since Jan. 1, taking over for Mario Barnes, who served as dean from July 2018 through 2021, according to the school’s announcement and the Rosenblatt’s Deans Database (RDD).
