A products liability lawsuit regarding LG Chem’s exploding lithium ion batteries may proceed in Ohio, the state Supreme Court ruled June 22.

The Supreme Court of Ohio unanimously denied the chemical company’s writ of prohibition seeking to prevent Lucas County Judge Michael R. Goulding from presiding over trial of the products lability case brought by plaintiffs Jeremy M. Darrow and Dale J. Mocek (collectively referred to as the “Darrow plaintiffs” in the opinion).
