Federal authorities on Wednesday afternoon charged Nicholas Roske of Simi, California, with attempting to murder U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his Maryland home earlier in the day.
If convicted, Roske, 26, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison for attempting to murder a federal judge. A criminal complaint is not a finding of guilt.
