The U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision to review a law school clinic’s petition filed on behalf of a criminal defendant triggered a debate over whether the clinics, in their desire for high court cases, should press a legal issue likely to result in “bad” law.
The debate started on Twitter after the justices granted review in Jones v. Hendrix, a petition filed by the University of Virginia School of Law’s Supreme Court Clinic on behalf of Marcus Jones.
