Neither tribal immunity nor personal immunity bars a breach-of-contract lawsuit from proceeding against a tribal nation’s outside law firms and attorneys, along with two casino executives, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled.
However, the remaining defendants in the case will have an opportunity on remand to argue that they’re entitled to personal immunity.
