Kenneth Polite, a white-collar partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius who formerly was an Obama-era U.S. attorney, disclosed earning $1.17 million in partnership share for work that included advising Microsoft Corp., JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley, according to a financial statement released Monday as part of his nomination to lead the U.S. Justice Department’s criminal division.
Polite, a partner in the Philadelphia and New York offices of Morgan Lewis, one of the country’s most profitable law firms, would oversee more than 450 attorneys working on a range of criminal investigations and prosecutions, including financial fraud, computer crime and public corruption. The criminal division is playing a central role in the effort to combat fraud tied to key virus-era federal relief programs.
