A federal appeals court on Friday dealt a blow to Trump campaign aide Jason Miller in a defamation lawsuit, finding that the reporting about him based on a court filing that was later sealed is protected from the suit.

Miller sued Gizmodo Media Group and its then-writer, Katherine Krueger, in 2018 over an article based off a court filing in the Trump aide’s paternity and custody court fight with a former Trump campaign aide, AJ Delgado, with whom he had an affair. Krueger reported that a filing in the case said that Delgado heard that Miller in 2012 had an affair with a stripper and when the woman became pregnant, Miller gave her a drink with an abortion pill that caused her to bleed heavily and terminated the pregnancy.
