While many professional staffers on the upper rungs of the law firm business seem quite happy with their firms’ diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, that warm fuzzy feeling isn’t reflected among the rank-and-file staff in quite the same way.

A recent survey of law firm staff, consisting of 256 responses from business service professionals at law firms, found that overall they were pleased with their firms’ DE&I advancement efforts. But that satisfaction dips among those with the title of manager and below, and there is a solid number who feel that firm’s diversity efforts stop with race and gender when they shouldn’t.
