The regulator's total spend in its investigation into the former Freshfields partner's conduct has been discovered by Law.com International.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) spent nearly half a million pounds on its failed prosecution of former Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner Ryan Beckwith, according to data released by the regulator to Law.com International.
In total, the SRA accrued costs of £411,157.08 on proceedings against Beckwith, following its formal decision to prosecute in April 2019.
