The U.K.’s former Attorney General and current member of parliament, Geoffrey Cox QC, is set to be paid nearly half a million pounds by Withers in his new role, in which he will work no more than 48 hours a month.

Cox, who was appointed as a consultant global counsel in September, will receive £468,000 plus VAT for his work, according to statements released by the parliamentary commissioner. The sum is just shy of average profit per equity partner (PEP) at Withers, which currently stands at £501,000.
