A federal judge on Friday said Trump administration officials will have to appear in court if they don’t complete their review of FBI interview memos created in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation in time to release them ahead of the election.

The memos, commonly known as 302s, are the subject of a public records lawsuit by CNN and BuzzFeed News reporter Jason Leopold. DOJ attorney Courtney Enlow said at the telephonic hearing Friday that the FBI expects to hand over 302s that aren’t shielded under the Freedom of Information Act ahead of the Nov. 3 election, a deadline U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton of the District of Columbia has long eyed in the litigation.
