Jones Day often proudly touts its “One Firm Worldwide” model. But three former female associates say that’s not the case in the firm’s defense against their ongoing gender bias suit, contending that it has instead highlighted the autonomy of individual offices in fighting back against their Equal Pay Act claims.

In a filing from late Aug. 21, Katrina Henderson, Saira Draper and Meredith Williams urged U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss of the District of Columbia to heed Jones Day’s longstanding position that it operates as an integrated unit and disregard the firm’s assertions in their lawsuit that each office qualifies as a “separate establishment.”
