Dentons paid homage to a famous moment in Utah history when it dubbed its bid to build a unique national law firm “Project Golden Spike.” Now, in the first new tie-up since unveiling the plan last fall, it’s expanding into the Beehive State.

The firm is joining forces with Salt Lake City-based Durham Jones & Pinegar, a 100-attorney firm that also has offices in Lehi, Ogden and St. George. The move gives the world’s largest law firm direct access to one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, while expanding the range of available options for businesses in the region’s growing tech sector.
