The total costs for the investigation and proceedings into former Baker McKenzie London head Gary Senior amounted to “about £3 million”, a disciplinary tribunal heard Monday.

The figure, mentioned by Andrew Tabachnik QC, representing U.K. regulator the Solicitors Regulation Authority in the proceedings, dwarves the tribunal’s sanction last week of a £55,000 fine and £40,000+VAT costs for Senior.
