It’s now up to a jury to decide whether two people accused of murdering Florida State University law professor Dan Markel in 2014 are guilty of the crime.

A Tallahassee jury began deliberations Thursday afternoon after hearing three weeks of testimony about Katherine Magbanua and Sigfredo Garcia, who have been charged with first-degree murder. The jury is being sequestered until they reach a verdict.
