The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has tapped former Treasury Department adviser Michael Strauss to serve as general counsel.
Strauss is slated to start his new position in January at its London headquarters and succeeds Marie-Anne Birken, a Dutch national who joined the bank in 2014. Her next move is unclear as attempts to reach a bank representative were unsuccessful.
