Our archivists are happy to advise on matters of OUP's history, including printing history, book history, and OED history. We operate a discretionary thirty-year closure period on unpublished material in the collection. All archival researchers are required to sign a research form before being allowed access to items in the collection.

Booking Your Visit Anyone wishing to conduct archival research must book their visit in advance. Archival items are made available in our library at OUP's Oxford office. Please see our contact page for further information.

Opening Hours Monday-Friday, 9.30am-4pm, except on Bank Holidays in England. The library is closed for external visitors from mid-December to the first full week in January.

Access
The library is situated at the Oxford University Press offices on Great Clarendon Street, Oxford, and accessed via the main reception. There is a flight of stairs to reception - visitors with accessibility needs can contact us in advance to arrange alternative access. The library is wheelchair-accessible, and we have washroom facilities available, including an accessible disabled loo.
