Man wins top prize worth $1 million on Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket: See where the winning ticket was sold

The winner -- identified only as Mr. Flannery -- won the game’s top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years ($1 million total), but ultimately chose the cash option.

WILLARD, Ohio — A man from Huron County has won a prize worth $1 million in the Lady Luck 100X game, which is an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket.

The winner -- identified only as Mr. Flannery -- recently hit the game’s top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years ($1 million total), but ultimately chose to take the cash option of $500,000.

“After mandatory state and federal tax totaling 28 percent will receive $360,000,” according to the Ohio Lottery.

His winning ticket was sold at FriendShip Food #87, which is located at 1045 Myrtle Avenue in Willard.

“Flannery said he plans to buy a home and do some investing thanks to his big win,” according to the Ohio Lottery.

Lady Luck 100X is a $20 scratch-off ticket. Ohio Lottery officials say the overall odds of winning in the game are 1 in 3.48.
