Preparation time -10 to 15 minutes
Yields -2 servings
Ingredients:
1 cup soy milk- Plain or vanilla as per choice
2 cups frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons honey-If you opt for plain soy milk, this will help to add a little sweetness.
2 teaspoons strawberry jam (optional)
5-6 almonds (soaked in milk)
Procedure:
Combine all ingredients in a hand blender and whirl until frothy. Make sure that strawberries are pulverized to the maximum.
Even though frozen strawberries will help to chill the smoothie, you can add ice cubes before blending, if the ingredients are not cold enough.
Pour and serve chilled

Similarly, instead of strawberries, you can add other healthy and delicious fruits such as mangoes or bananas. If you like blueberries, you can team it up with mixed or orange juice. Alternatively, as kids are fond of chocolate, you can use chocolate soy milk with chocolate protein powder for that extra energy boost.
Overall, smoothies are simple, quick, and healthy and can be easily served as a snack or a supplement to a meal. While the above process will yield approximately 2 servings, you can always double the ingredients if you wish to make it a family breakfast. On weekends or special occasions, you can also let you kids choose or add their own ingredients.
