- TriviaThe first appearance of Patricia Belcher as frequently recurring Assistant US Attorney Caroline Julian.
- GoofsThere are 2 distinct types of voodoo practiced in New Orleans - Louisiana Voodoo and Haitian voodoo. The two types of voodoo and their beliefs are inconsistent throughout the episode. Secte Rouge is a part of Haitian voodoo. However, in Haitian voodoo, gris-gris bags are used for good, not evil. Bokors are Haitian voodoo sorcerers, however, bokors are not defined as "good" or "evil." This episode portrays all bokors as dark. Bokors are actually sorcerers for hire who can cast good or dark spells.
- Quotes
Dr. Temperance Brennan: [to murderer who is trying to put a voodoo curse on her, so she pokes him in the eye to shut him up] I've noticed that very few people are scary once they've been poked in the eye.

Is this Bones or Scooby Doo?
How can anyone take this show seriously after such an incredibly ridiculous episode that was pretty much a cartoon.
Bones was never known to make sense since the show was always borderline stupid but this episode takes stupid to the next level and becomes plain cartoony.
Even if you ignore all the stupidity and ridiculousness of this episode, they start the episode with several questions and end it without answering a single one of them. Why did Brennan lose her memory? How did she lose her memory? What happened after the table got knocked over at the morgue? Who killed those 3 people apart from the daughter? What happened to the skeleton they were examining back home? Why and how did they drop Brennan's charges and how did she regain her memory all of a sudden? Not a single question got answered.
This episode must have been written by a 7 year old kid who watched too many Scooby Doo episodes.
