CME milk futures, most cash dairy down Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were lower except for butter entering the holiday weekend Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June Class III milk was down $0.23 at $15.88.  July was down $0.06 at $16.58.  August was down $0.07 at $17.41.  September was down $0.07 at $18.37.  October through April contracts ranged from five cents lower in October to three cents higher in February.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.2750.  There were five sales recorded from $0.2750 to $0.2825.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0425 at $1.4775.  Nine sales were recorded from $1.4775 to $1.5075.

Cheese barrels were down $0.01 at $1.49.  Seven sales were recorded from $1.49 and $1.50.

Butter was up $0.0125 at $2.43.  One sale was recorded at that price. Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.17.  No sales were recorded.
