Missouri corn and soybean condition up slightly

The good to excellent rating of both Missouri corn and soybeans is up two-percent since the week before in spite of extremely hot weather. Corn is 71% good to excellent as of Sunday. Corn silking reached nearly 60 percent, 20 percentage points ahead of last year.

Soybeans blooming is well ahead of last year at 35% and soybean condition is 65 percent good to excellent.

Cotton condition in Missouri is 80% good to excellent. Rice condition is 61$ good to excellent.

Winter wheat harvested for grain reached 95 percent, just ahead of last year’s pace.

Missouri topsoil is 40% short on moisture, subsoil is 23% short.
