We recently had a great Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) session where we shared the go-forward plans for Citrix and talked about our vision, strategy, and priorities. The CTPs were happy to connect with the new leadership team headed by Citrix General Manager Sridhar Mullapudi, as well as Citrix veterans Calvin Hsu, Jitendra Deshpande, Bob Schaeffer, Milind Mohile, Sameer Mehta, myself, and others. Citrix is now a business unit within Cloud Software Group (CSG) and has plans to invest, innovate, and grow. You can learn more about CSG and its business units at https://www.cloud.com/.

Some highlights that generated the most excitement among our CTPs included the shift from a cloud-only focus to meeting our customers where they are with hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-prem solutions. That includes things like enhancements to on-prem StoreFront and support for Citrix Secure Private Access with NetScaler.

We also discussed the decision to continue Citrix Endpoint Management, based on customer demand, and forthcoming HDX features that will be a big hit for many enterprises. Citrix will position itself as the platform for enabling secure hybrid work, delivering virtual and web/SaaS and mobile apps with the security and manageability that organizations need.

Citrix is also stepping up our engagement with the tech community and partner ecosystem. The CTP and CTA programs will continue, along with the Citrix User Group Community (CUGC) and Customer Advisory Board, and you can expect more listening to and engagement with our customer communities. At this time no Synergy event is planned, but we will be doing more regional events. Stay tuned for more info and feel free to reach out to the new, old Citrix.

Don’t just take my word for it. Check out some of the feedback we heard from our CTPs.

“I am very excited to see the new direction Citrix is taking. The focus on quality and freedom to choose what is best for your own environment, whether that be on prem or cloud, is the key to success.” — Steve Greenberg

“The innovation gloves are off now that Citrix is private, and we can expect amazing features being added and products created.” — Patrick Coble

“The mindset of helping customers to run their business in every datacenter, on premises, or in the cloud, is what Citrix focuses on. I have been working with Citrix for a long time, and now feels like a fresh start but with all the advantages of having been in the space for a long time.” — Martin Therkelsen

“Citrix as the customers and community knew and loved it for many years is back and looks into a stronger future than ever. It‘s not easy to convince the CTP group, but the new leadership team, captained by Sridhar got them excited in under an hour by sharing their exiting vision and powerful passion! — Rene Bigler

“Marvellous @Citrix #CitrixCTP call with @sridharcitrix and @chrisfleck yesterday! Wonderful to hear both talk about the new #Citrix. Great passion, great ideas! #community #CTP #CTA” Eltjo van Gulik
