In a global survey of IT leaders conducted recently by Fieldwork by Citrix and Pulse, 100 percent of respondents said their organization planned to implement a hybrid work model for the foreseeable future. All eyes are on hybrid work models as companies seek to replicate elements of the in-office work experience.

However, finding a way to enable cross-collaboration between teams and external partners in a way that is both flexible and secure has historically proved challenging for many organizations. Solutions that prioritized flexibility faced security limitations, while other more secure solutions were often deemed less user-friendly.

As IT teams look to identify how to best support today’s world of hybrid work and accelerate it, channel partners must recognize the new ways in which the landscape has transformed. While basic remote access tools took center stage during the rapid remote work transition, Citrix believes desktop as a service (DaaS) will be the foundation for today’s modern workforce.

To address and support this need, Citrix has been doubling down on DaaS solutions that both support and accelerate the transition to hybrid work models. As a leading DaaS and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) provider, Citrix has a long history of providing innovative solutions that secure digital workspaces and particularly for securing remote desktops. Previously known as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service, the Citrix DaaS market-leading cloud service modernizes IT and addresses the needs of distributed workers by providing a secure, agile, and easy way to quickly deliver apps or desktops from any cloud or datacenter to any device worldwide.

Building on this legacy, Citrix recently announced a stream of innovations around DaaS beginning with the news that Citrix DaaS is now available in hybrid cloud and hyperscaler-specific deployment options, enabling channel partners to spin up secure, high-performing workspaces that meet the needs of this new hybrid workforce. By providing that critical blend of flexibility and security with cost reduction and ease of deployment, organizations can meet the needs of users as workforce models and tools continue to evolve.

In addition, Citrix released its “how DaaS is helping IT enable secure hybrid work” Pulse survey, which found nearly 75 percent of IT and security leaders believe DaaS is a key enabler of secure work within their organization. Also, among the findings:

  • More than 50 percent of respondents plan to launch a DaaS solution in the next year
  • Over 81 percent of leaders plan to increase their investments in DaaS over the next 12 months
  • Leaders cited increased security and IT efficiency and cost savings as the top benefits of DaaS

It’s clear that organizations need flexible hybrid work solutions that don’t force them to compromise when it comes to security. This is an important moment for Citrix channel partners. Combining Citrix DaaS solutions with channel partners’ proven expertise and ability to customize the right solution for individual organization’s needs, means they are uniquely suited to help organizations with their transition to the modern workplace.
