We know that working at Citrix isn’t the only work our employees do. June 1 is the Global Day of Parents, and we want to recognize employees for the care and coaching they provide to their children of all ages, which shapes the adults they become.

This year marks 10 years since the United Nations established the Global Day of Parents, and right now is an incredibly difficult time to be a parent. Last month’s shootings at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, and at the market in Buffalo, New York, were devastating and infuriating. These sorts of hate crimes and violence make parents worry about things as simple as having their children go to a movie, the mall, or even school. These events — and others like them — shatter the belief that we can fully protect our children and are horrifying to parents everywhere.

Citrix wants to support employees as they work to keep their children safe and nurture their development. We can’t instantly change the world, but we can make it a little better in our communities, and we can look after each other as we navigate life day to day. Here are some of the resources we make available to Citrix parents:

Employee resource groups for parents and for women: One of the best things about working at Citrix is each other. We have a community of parents, including foster parents and adoptive parents, who share ideas, resources, and sometimes even carpools. Whether they’re trying to find baby formula or reassurance on tough days that it’s OK to not be OK, our colleagues are here for each other. Learn about all of our ERGs.

Paid parental leave: In the U.S., we offer up to 18 weeks of paid leave for all moms, dads, and partners to care for a newborn or newly adopted child. Around the world, we offer this or more in compliance with local practice.

Flexibility to work hybrid or remote: Our people can work where they’ll be most successful, whether that’s alongside colleagues in one of our energizing offices or from home. Performance is more important than place, and the pandemic proved that Citrites can be effective anywhere they have access to their apps, data, and files.

Volunteer time and charitable match: When employees support a nonprofit that helps make the world better for your children, Citrix support our employees. Each year, employees have 16 hours, or two paid days, to volunteer. Donate to a nonprofit, and we’ll match donations up to $2,000 per year. When the need in our community is greater, so is our giving. We’re currently inviting employees to donate to the Buffalo and Uvalde communities through the National Center for the Victims of Crime and The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

Adoption assistance program: We provide up to $5,000 toward legal adoption of a child under age 18.

Parent counseling and coaching: Through Citrix’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employees have access to confidential counseling, support, resources, and information to help you address any personal issues you may face. Citrix also partnered with TaskHuman to provide parents with free, virtual 1:1 coaching with live specialists. Support through both programs is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Citrix employees help empower more than 100 million people in more than 100 countries to do their best work. We’re grateful for the work our employees do to build a better future — both at Citrix and with their families.
