Olive Garden handing out free sandwiches this week

Casual restaurant Olive Garden recently announced it would start using its famous salty, buttery breadsticks to make sandwiches.

The chain’s Breadstick Nation food truck will be in Metro Detroit this week handing out free samples of the new menu items: a meatball or chicken parmigiana breadstick sandwich.

Freebies will be give out while they last and weather permitting. Find the Breadstick Nation food truck at the Oakland County Fair in Davisburg Thursday 2-6 p.m. The truck will also be at Plymouth’s Art in the Park event noon-5 p.m. Fri.-Sat. and 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
