— Miguel Cabrera, running on a 3-2 pitch to Victor Martinez in the fourth inning Friday, pulled up abruptly, hobbling on his left leg.

He motioned immediately for trainer Kevin Rand and was helped off the field.

The Tigers said Cabrera suffered a left calf strain. He will undergo an MRI. No other details were released.

Cabrera singled in the Tigers' first run in the first inning and singled again in the fourth.

Andrew Romine replaced him.
