U.S. District Judge Carl J. Nichols permanently dismissed the complaint with prejudice, ruling the plaintiff's attempt to recover gambling losses from five licensed sports wagering operators lacks a cause of action as a direct result of the D.C. Council enacting legislation retroactively clarifying the legality of sports gambling in Washington, D.C.
