Vegas News | Vanderpump Debuts New Rooms, Deal at Luxor and Excalibur and Early April Fool’s At Resorts World?
2026-03-27 18:46 UTC by Marc

In Vegas News a couple of weeks ago, I shared that MGM Resorts had plans for some kind of “value” promotion. Well, here it is.

MGM dropped a $330 all-in deal for Luxor and Excalibur. The key to this price is that it “starts at” $330. Prices could be higher. Regardless of your opinion about the properties, this is a solid deal. Read the details here.

I did a breakdown of the cost of the items in this deal. It looks like a deal at $330, but that might not be the case if the package deal is $700. See the breakdown here.

I also mentioned that these two properties only account for 6% of MGM’s profit. Vegas isn’t dead, and this will barely move the needle for MGM. This is just a way to pacify people complaining online. I speculate that the company will make as much money from one average couple at Aria, Bellagio, or Cosmopolitan as it will from 10 of these packages. Anyway, this is a solid deal since there are no blackouts.

Bellagio has a new display for Spring, and it’s beautiful as always. This is one of my favorites of the year. See below and read more here

Unrelated to the $330 deal, there’s a new Marriott and MGM Rewards promotion. Read more here

Wait a few weeks if you’re looking at deals elsewhere like Mr. TravelZork

Speaking at the J.P. Morgan Gaming, Lodging, Restaurant and Leisure Management Access Forum, Bill Hornbuckle said the LVCVA will be launching a big promotion in April. I’m guessing it will be similar to the Fabulous 5-Day Sale last year.

There was a lot of major news this week in Las Vegas. Caesars shared the first images of the Vandepump Hotel rooms. They’re the opposite of The Cromwell, and I love both. Rates without Caesars Rewards are down to $130 in June. I’ve seen plenty of people getting these rooms comp’d. Read more here.

White Castle at Casino Royale is closing. People who love diarrhea are upset. Read more here.

It looks like the Super Bowl will be returning to Las Vegas. This has been rumored since the game was last played in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. Read more here

Circa is a privately held company and doesn’t have to report earnings like publicly owned casino operators, such as Caesars, MGM, etc. I can’t remember where I grabbed this info, but it looks like business is solid at Circa while The D and Golden Gate are feeling the pinch. See the info here

Omnia dayclub at Caesars Palace is opening on May 14. I’m so curious if the music in the club bothers passersby on the Vegas Strip.

On the same topic, Mandalay Bay is rebranding its dayclub to be more like Stadium Swim. Read about it here.

Billy Idol’s next residency will be at Fontainebleau. It is the fourth casino for him to have a limited engagement. Read more here.

The Sphere extended the Backstreet Boys residency again. See the dates here.

People who like the Backstreet Boys might like the 90’s house party at the Fremont Street Experience in April. Read more here.

This seems related to BSB. Evidently, Justin Timberlake is working on a deal for a Park MGM residency for the 500th time since the casino rebranded from Monte Carlo and added a theater. Read more here.

Bally’s reported earnings and had little to share about Las Vegas. See the blurb here.

Bally’s won’t find out if they’ll get permits to build until next month. Read more here.

Here’s the past seven days of construction of the baseball stadium that would become home to the Las Vegas A’s.

Zoox is expanding in Las Vegas. Get the details here.

Circa is getting a robot convenience store. Say what? Read about it here.

If you’re looking for something different to do in Las Vegas, the LVCVA has put together a list of daytrips. Read about them here.

Caesars Palace added another six shows for Rod Stewart. Get the dates here.

There will be a 2.5-hour-long EDC parade in May. Read more here

The Palms buffet will have theme nights for holidays and different types of cuisine. If you’re into buffets, read more here.

Stop the presses! Visitation to Las Vegas went up in February. They said it would never happen. I haven’t gone through this and the gaming data for the month yet, but at first glance, there’s something happening downtown that could be related to the Circa Hospitality quote above.  You can see the report here.

Last but not least, Maverick Helicopter has a Hard Rock Guitar Tower update.
