  Three women of colour who worked on the crew of Sinners are helping drive a significant shift in the film industry that's allowing diverse newcomers to gain experience and recognition behind the scenes. Veterans like costume designer Ruth E. Carter who've broken barriers say they're lighting the way for those who follow to make their own communities, lift each other up and create opportunities for each other.
