'Bring Them Back': US Judge Eyes Due-Process Remedy in AEA Mass-Deportation Case

"I found they were not given due process," U.S. District Chief Judge James E. Boasberg said at a court hearing, referring to 137 certified class members who were hastily removed from the United States after President Donald Trump invoked the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to justify their deportations. Boasberg heard oral arguments from the government's counsel and class counsel as he prepares to fashion a remedy restoring the plaintiffs' due-process rights.
