Reid & Associates, and others in an underlying wrongful imprisonment suit. After allegedly being coerced into falsely confessing to a 1995 fire, the late William E. Amor spent nearly 20 years in prison before he was acquitted in 2018 and subsequently recovered $25.5 million from the City of Naperville, Illinois.
