 French la Vie
Many of you have reached out, donated, and helped me help my friends in Gaza — and I want you to know how deeply grateful I am. Your kindness, especially now when things have grown unimaginably worse, means more than I can ever express.
Recently, I shared a GoFundMe link to raise money to help my friends leave central Gaza, which has been heavily bombed. Thanks to your generosity, we raised nearly €2000 — and every cent of it has gone directly to them.
Here is a message I received from Malak and Mohammed:
“My family cannot leave the house — not even for food or water — and we cannot sleep because of the sound of bombs and rockets.
The occupation is targeting all the tall buildings and dropping bombs on homes at night.
Mohammed was able to get a tent through someone he knows in Gaza. It’s waiting for them, but they haven’t been able to leave yet — the bombing is constant. I hadn’t been able to reach them until now. I asked a friend of mine who lives in a safer area to contact my mother so I could know if they were still alive. She told me they are planning to leave tomorrow.
Today’s bombing was intense — anyone who moved in the street was killed.
Because more donations came in, we were able to send some to Mohammed’s sister so she could also leave — and she did, thank God.
As for the rest of my family, I can only hope they’ll make it out safely.
We’re still very worried.”
I will keep sharing updates as I receive them. Your support is not just appreciated — it is life-saving.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
