New Animation Series of BPPV and the Different Maneuvers to Treat

A new animation series of BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) treatments have been uploaded to YouTube over the past few weeks. BPPV is a common inner ear condition that causes brief episodes of vertigo triggered by changes in head position. It happens when tiny calcium crystals in the ear become dislodged and move into the semicircular canals, disrupting the sense of balance. Though not dangerous, it can be very unsettling and is often treated with simple head maneuvers like the Epley maneuver.

In these videos, beyond demonstrating how the maneuver is performed, an animation of what actually is going on in the inner ear balance system with crystal motion is also shown in the second half of the videos.
