Daniel Stowe Conservancy, 6500 South New Hope Road, Belmont, North Carolina, is hosting FREE Birding Walks on the trails outside of the Garden. If you wish to visit the Garden afterwards, you’ll need to purchase admission.

Stowe is around 20 miles to the west of Charlotte.

No registration is required. Meet outside the Garden Pavilion. You’ll learn about local bird species, their habitats and behaviors from an experienced birder. You’ll also discover hidden gems and scenic spots within the Garden.

If you have binoculars, please bring them. Wear comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing. These events are rain or shine.

The Birding Walks take place from 9 to 10 a.m. on the first and third Fridays of the month, currently scheduled through June, 2026. Facebook event. Make sure to check for any changes on the Garden’s event calendar.
