Visitation: 6-9pm Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, with Rosary starting at 6:15pm.
Funeral Service: 11am Wednesday April 23, 2025 at Saint Francis on The Brazos. Burial to follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
Lucia was born on December 13, 1927 in Laredo, TX, to Leonardo and Juanita Gonzalez. Lucia, was a cherished individual known for her strong will, love and support for her family. Although she is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
She was a passionate cook and baker, Lucia shared her culinary talents generously with everyone around her. Her kitchen was a haven of warmth, where countless memories were created over shared meals that brought family and friends together. Through her cooking, she expressed love in the most meaningful way, nurturing those she cherished.
She was preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Juanita Gonzalez; sisters, Mary Hernandez and Emma Guajardo; brothers, Charlie, Joe and Ernest Gonzalez; granddaughter, Maria Dolores Garcia.
Lucia's memory lives on with sister, Anita Castillo; son, Jimmy Salazar; daughter, Sally Salazar Santos; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Lucia not just for her passing but for the love, laughter, and light she brought into our lives. May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones and embraced by the divine love she so fervently cherished.
