Brajboro Cow Sanctuary, at 6903 Gold Mine Loop Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is a not-for-profit organization that has a mission of caring for cows for life.

Every Saturday and Sunday, the sanctuary is open for visitors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Hours change according to the season.)

The cows love visitors! If you’d like to feed the cows, you can bring bananas, carrots, cucumber and celery.

Make sure to check the website before visiting, to make sure that the sanctuary is open.

While you’re there, you can enjoy a picnic that you bring from home (there are picnic benches) and try out the slack line.

The admission fee goes toward the care of the cows. Admission is $25 for adults, with free admission for kids under age 12.
