  1. My wife has a service dog, a very big one! When we fly coach I book 3 seats on a row. My wife takes the isle I take the window and the dog gets the floor, half mine, half hers and all of the middle. If my wife flies alone, which is not often, she takes the middle and we buy the dog the window. Bottom line, if you have a big dog YOU need to accommodate for the dog, not the airline.

  2. Last time I flew, not mentioning the big name airline, I booked 2 seats TOGETHER, to accomodate me and my medium sized service dog, the airline on their own, after I confirmed my together seats, changed them, and sepatated us, by half the plane apart. I couldnt get anyone with a brain to understand that we needed to be seated together. I wasnt travelling with a teenager that could sit half the plane away from me. I honestly didnt care where we sat at that point anymore, as long as it was together. However, since a family with small children booked AFTER me, they got precedence .Since I didnt bring my dogs kennel, not knowing of this until arriving at the airport. I got charged a huge fee having to have my service dog tagged and bagged basically. Plus I got warned and almost got my flight cancelled. I booked 2 months in advance. Didnt matter. I have 4 children of my own, so Im not against families. I just didnt appreciate losing my extra seat due to it, and just getting a flight credit, that I cant use/
